    Hello All,

I'm taking my wife to Vegas in December as a birthday surprise to see Andrea Bocelli and I'm trying to decide what Ceasars property to stay at.

I logged into TR and see that I have both Caesars (Palace Tower Deluxe King) and Flamingo (Go Luxury with Strip View) rooms comed for the 4 nights.

While I'm there I will certainly hit Diamond status as in only one previous, 3 day, 2 night trip to a CET property trip this year I accumulated over 10k Tier Score). Some questions regarding this:

    1) One I hit diamond, Most likely on a Friday, will I be able to get a diamong card the next day?
    2) Will I automatically be assigned a host?
    3) Will I be allowed to use the 2 free show tickets that I'm entitled to immediately?
    4) I know this is subjective, but would I be better off "Obtaining this status" at Caesars or at the Flamingo? I'm just wondering if I am assigned a host because I will be a Diamond player, would I benefit with better offers from a host based at one property or another?

    Any advise would be appreciated!

    Thanks...

I do not believe simply being Diamond means you will automatically be assigned a host. I was Diamond for a while before a "Casino Sales Executive" ever contacted me.

I do know you can go and get your Diamond card immediately after you hit the 15,000 Tier Credits and start using the Diamond perks right away.

Also, at CET it doesn't matter at which property you get the points. Everything is system-wide.

    Hope this helps.

Assuming you will need the "bonus" points to reach Diamond, that does take a day sometimes to hit the system.

Once the system says you are Diamond, you can get the tickets.

depending on what you play if u play slots you can get it right away if tables might take up to 24 hours to update into there system if your making it using the extra bunus points it might take longer to post.

    2) Will I automatically be assigned a host? no and you dont need one

    3) Will I be allowed to use the 2 free show tickets that I'm entitled to immediately?yes once it updates to your account

    4) I know this is subjective, but would I be better off "Obtaining this status" at Caesars or at the Flamingo? I'm just wondering if I am assigned a host because I will be a Diamond player, would I benefit with better offers from a host based at one property or another?

no it doesnt matter and you wont be assigned a host so play where you want. making diamond is pretty easy .

unless your doing a ferw hundred and up a hand on the tables they wont notice you.

if you realy want a host play at quad its pretty easy to get one there at low play.

if you take a big hit go see a host at the end of your trip to see if the can comp any extras off but rembeer they will most likely use your rewards credits first then give anything they deem extra.

    Any advise would be appreciated!

    Thanks...

pss u will have access to the diamond lounge with internet in there .

still if u dont mind what are u playing and your avarage bet .that will also help determine if a host is really warented

You will not be assigned a host.

You should get your Diamond card the second you hit it although if you are using bonus tier credits it might take until the next day to get it.

At that point you should enjoy all Diamond benefits.

    1) Once you hit Diamond, you get the card. It has to show on the TR website as Diamond. Bonus points show up one to two days after play. Monday shows up Wed at the latest.
    2) You will not be assigned a host. But, I sure would email one and ask if they would like to be your host. I have one of the regional hosts and she has been awesome. I get WAY more than what is posted in my TR's. My host picked me up before I even stepped in the casino. I initiated the conversation.
    3) The two show tickets are a pain. I made DIAD at 22k Tier Points and went to go get my new card and some tix. They said the "button" to get me the tix was not available in their system yet. I checked the next day and was told it could take a week.
    4) I do not believe Caesars uses the "Home Casino" theory like MGM, so it does not matter where you get Diamond.

These answers are based on my personal experience from 5 weeks ago doing exactly what you are trying to do

The bonus points won't show up until the next day. If you've played in several CET properties, it takes awhile for the computers to gather all the info.

If you earn all your points to get your bonus points in the one property, the TR folks might be nice and give you your Diamond card right away.

dont forget to pick up your $100 diamond celebration dinner dining certificate. you can use it at most cet restaurants and you get one per year so use it on that trip or you will loose the one for this year.

    1) You can claim your new card five minutes after reaching the threshold. You just need to give the system a chance to reconcile your play.

    2) You may never be assigned a host.

    3) Yes.

    4) Doesn't matter. They look at where you tend to play historically and what casino matches your play pattern and go from there. Most hosts would be able to help you Vegas wide and, if you don't have a local casino, nationwide.

Awesome thanks for all the responses, you guys are a wealth of knowledge. The $100 Diamond dinner is a tier 1 perk?

Is it one per calendar year? ie: If I hit diamond on December 7th can I use one in 2013 and one in 2014?

    Thanks!

VIP is a separate department from the host department.

What kind of coin-in do I need to get a host at the Flamingo do you guys figure?

I arrive Late Thursday night (midnight) and leave noon Monday. I play mostly slot machines (mostly those 9-15-20 line machines betting $2-$5 a spin), some VP ($5) and some Let it Ride or mild BJ ($10-25 hand). I have about a $4k bankroll for the trip.

I'm pretty sure that the 4k will get me noticed as a machine player, won't it?

    Thanks!

to get a host you just need to introduce yourself to one. they rarely come looking for you unless you're a big player, but you can find them easily.

For CET properties, VIP Services and the whole host thing has always confused me. I have a contact at VIP services who sets everything up for me, but as soon as I get to my room, I always have a message waiting saying that my host asked them to check in on me, etc. I'm a diamond player (around 40,000 Tier so far this year) and there are always also the chocolates/nuts/welcoming gift in my room as well.

There is a direct number at Caesars that they always give me to call to speak to a host when they leave that message. So, while I don't know who my actual "host" is, I can always seem to get whatever I need from walking into the hosts office and just asking for them to look at my account.

Bottom line...if your play is high enough, you should get some pretty great up front offers from marketing and a host isn't really necessary until the back-end, which will likely be comped anyhow.
