    Got my Fall Offer:

Aria - 1 night comp on 2 night stay.
    Mirage - 2 night comp.
Mandalay Bay - 2 night comp.

Called Aria, the cost for staying is 99/night for a total w/RF @ $133.88.

Currently I am booked at Aria on 11/7 (Wed) for 2 nights then Wynn fully comped for weekend.

My question is: In your opinion, Would it be better to take the 2 night comp instead of paying the 133.88 or is Aria definitely worth paying for the night?

Aria is gorgeous and I'm used to it, but never stayed there (stayed at Cosmo usually). Never stayed at MB or Mirage but heard good things. I will be solo for Wednesday.

    What would you go for?

Depends on what you like. Personally, I like both MB and Aria, but for different reasons. So here is my comparison of the two properties:

Room: ARIA. Better beds, technology and décor

Sportsbook: MB. Much bigger and I prefer the old electronic boards to the newer TV-style boards, Aldo tends to have better drink service

Gambling: ARIA. More tables and a better high limit room

Spa: ARIA. My favorite on the Strip

Pool: MB. also my favorite on the Strip. of course, may not matter considering the time of year you are going

Dining: PUSH. I like restaurants at both. Aria has my favorite place to eat, but MB has more options

Entertainment: Well, I want to see both Zarkana and Michael Jackson, so I guess this is a push

Nightlife: MB. Eyecandy and Foundation room are better bars for my style and tastes than the Decuce lounge and whatever they call Bar Moderno these days (or maybe its the same name, minus the fake trees)

Overall, I think Aria is the better place. But $130 better? That's a decision you have to make

Take the free nights and spend $130 on a great dinner is my thing. Or do a bet for $100 that is a long shot and use the $30 for your cab ride. I love Mirage because of the location and options all around, I always thought the beds were nice there. The only thing to keep me at aria would be the bed, but not worth $133 for just the bed.

I am more a fan of MB than Aria because to me it is more beautiful in nearly every facet. I love beauty in a property.

However I would suggest going to Aria only because MB rooms seem a little tired. Also Aria is better located with better ease of movement with the monorails. Aria is more flashy because it's new. An issue I have with MB is that they recently changed their carpet to a dark purple which has changed the mood of the casino for me sadly, but that's just a personal thing. MB might have better nightlife than Aria but Aria is closer to some of the best nightlife.

I agree that Aria is much better located on the Strip than MB (which, IMO, is the only significant downside to MB), but if it matters to the OP, the monorail at Aria will not help you much.

The monorail at Aria only has two stops: Crystals and Bellagio. And if you're staying at Aria, the walk from the elevator bank to Crystals is the same distance as the walk from the elevators to the monorail (in fact, the walk to Crystals might be a little shorter).

These are the two hotels I stay at in Vegas. I like Aria better. It's more modern and has better location, much better. MB is nice, but it's at the beginning of the strip so walking is a pain if you choose to leave.

Thanks for all the input so far!

I'm just wondering if you were me, would you pay the $134 to stay there for 2 nights over Mirage or Mandalay Bay?

On Wednesday it's just me. I intend to gamble quite a bit my first day and stay pretty close to the property. Just going to eat some nice simple meals and most likely not pursue nightlife on the first night.

Thursday night is different. The girlfriend arrives around 8pm and she may want a lounge for the night. Me? I don't really care either way (bringing sand to the beach and all that jazz).

My games are video roulette, craps tables, and video blackjack to use my freeplay up.

I'm just trying to figure out within the slew of veterans on here what they would do in my position. Is it worth it for the bed being solo for a day and a half? the proximity worth it?

Had it just been you and your cool needs, I would have said Mirage. Well-located, comfortable and some solid food.

Enter girlfriend and I say Aria straight away! Pay the $134....she will appreciate it.

EDIT: She arrives at 8pm? She won't get to enjoy Aria much. Definitely Mandalay Bay. Still a beautiful property. The new Light club is hot! And the EyEcandy is always a solid night.

I 100% think Mirage is the best choice if you are doing the 2 nights BEFORE Wynn. I agree with the others in saying save the money and use the free nights. First off Mirage is the closest to Wynn of all of them, making your transfer over a little easier and close enough to wheel your suitcases down and save a cab ride/long walk down the strip with luggage. Second, I think the location right on the strip is better than having to maneuver through the mall or shortcuts to get from Aria to the strip. That leads into your Thursday night where your lady may want to hit a lounge or club. Thursday night is a big night for 1OAK at Mirage (where I assume you should get in easy if you get with a promoter/get comp entry through your gambling prowess) or down the road at Surrender at Encore.

Aria is a slightly nicer room than Mirage but I am not a fan of the dark long winding hallways and the glitchy room controls aren't a big enough sell for me. I think Mirage is just a more lively, more comfortable property if I were alone. The dining and bar options are NOT as good at Mirage, but if you are playing craps, video roulette and video blackjack - it wont matter to you. It is also a hop across the narrow stretch of street to Harrah's and Casino Royale if you want to get some cheaper gambling/drinks.

The one plus for Aria is the closeness to Cosmo which you mentioned you enjoy - but I would still take the 2 nights at Mirage for free and spend that $130 on your Thursday night out with your girlfriend :)

I won't even consider Mandalay Bay. Enjoy!!

I would choose ARIA as I really enjoy the decor of the hotel. I've been looking to stay at Mirage though.. but ARIA always gets me.. :faint:
