My crawl starts at Mandalay Bay and I work my way as far as I can sometimes all the way to Wynn and back to MGM and a cab hone to Mandalay.....the points in between have started to become routine, exploring the new stuff installed since the last visit.

List the properties you skip to get to your next must see property on your crawl, list the properties that draw you in....or is every crawl a new beginning ?

I don't do this very often, but I would ignore most of the east side of the strip - Paris, Flamingo, Bally's, Harrah's, Quad. I would go to PHO, Caesar's, V/P, Wynn, TI, and most of the MGM props.

I have been to all of the ones on the strip but I pretty much always skip ceasers palace and wynn. Never liked either one of those.I stayed at the rio a year back and really liked it but juat don't have the time to get over there most times.

I would be most likely to skip NYNY, Monte Carlo, IP and VP. There was something too artificial about NYNY, MC can be boring, IP is IP and VP has that scent thing.

I would skip Paris, just don't like their casino at all. Also, we don't venture past Venetian much so we don't usually see Ti, Palazzo, Wynn and Encore (have actually never been to Encore and only once to Wynn when it was brand new).

Caesars Palace is a casino we are also thinking of taking out of the mix: yeah it looks fine and everything in there, but the place is so huge that its a lot of walking to go find a slot or VP game that we'll want to play and then if my wife goes one way and I go the other it can sometimes take almost an hour of walking around to find eachother.

On average I hit up about 15 - 17 casinos during a single visit. It almost feels like a fulltime job some days haha.
I'm becoming more selective. Some casinos I won't step foot in. Some I'm not crazy about and others I'm bored with.

Riviera...never been there. Circus Circus, for the obvious. Excal, Luxor and Mandalay Bay (too far south) haven't been to the Trop in years but might consider visiting this time.

I'm the exact opposite of CousinEddie, lol. I have ignored some of the less "classy" establishments but on my last 2 trips started visiting them My regret was never having stepped foot in O'Shea's. Joni Mitchell wrote about, "You don't know what you've got till its gone".

I have done this numerous times through out the years and they are always fun. Whether it is just some $$ & a beer at each place or a certain amount of time in each casino, you can't go wrong. I always wind up drunk and in a good mood.

If someone in the group has not been to a particular casino, then I would gladly go with them anywhere on the strip, but if everyone is a Vegas Vet, then starting at MB, I would skip Excal, Tropic, Hooters, and everything north of Wynncore. Of course some of the other places are less desirable for me to stay at or put in regular time gambling, but on a crawl, why not.

    Flamingo. Toilet. Bad gambling.
    Harrah's. Ditto. And claustrophobic.
Excalibur. Always makes me want to get fumigated afterwards.
Trop. Really no reason to visit.
V/P. Will go for some great eats but other than that does nada for me.
    Bally's. Why detour?
Never need to go north of Wynncore.

I skip Aria because there it is such a long walk to get to the casino from the strip.
I usually skip Cosmo as well, it just doesn't feel very welcoming and when I am in there, I have never seen a cocktail waitress.

Starting at Mandalay Bay (which I wouldn't skip) the following I would skip:

Luxor - What happened to the Egyptian theme no reason to visit
Excalibur - What a dirty pit, don't like the kids
NYNY - rude staff, and the layout doesn't do anything for me
Cosmopolitan - layout not appealing to me, not impressed by table dealers
Mirage - table dealers rude and or confused when it come to payouts, layout not appealing, favorite restaurant no longer there.
Treasure Island - Bring back the old Pirate show and I will visit. All the other casino's on this side of the street not worth walking to...dirty and not my scene.
Rivera - Poor hotel/casino, I know your trying to survive but give up already, needs to be shot like a lame horse.
Palazzo/Venetian I'm still pissed off at them for the comps/rewards bullshit they pulled a few years back...plus stop it already with the perfume, this place stinks.
Casino Royale Hmmm, nothing Royale about it, what a hole.
Harrahs - Hmmm, never have liked this place, I will leave this place to the old blue hair ladys
The Quad They put lipstick on a pig....hmmm still a pig, just walk to the back and the old Imperial Palace reappears.
Flamingo - Smells like sewer out front and dirty inside...nasty carpet.
Bally's - Not worth the walk
Paris - , le personnel impoli de ne pas inviter, sombre
Planet Hollywood - Loud music, too many twenty somethings
Tropicana - Have never visited but heard so many bad things

I usually start at MB and go north to Luxor. Then i'll bypass Excalibur and Tropicana and enter MGM and then enter NYNY and Monte Carlo to get the Tram to Bellagio. What i do is enjoy my time inside Bellagio and see the Gardens, exhibits, etc. then walk the outside of Bellagio (to see the Fountains) then back down to the crosswalk and go into PHO, Paris, Bally's.
Then i'll enter Caesars, Mirage, TI, and Fashion Show Mall (for lunch). Cross the street into Wynn, Palazzo, Venetian, stop by CR/Harrah's for a bite to eat, bypass Quad (until it's completely done), enter Margaritaville. Also i take the shuttle to Rio (the new Zip Line) and Gold Coast (for the buffet).
I am there for a whole week (again in early Nov.), so places like NYNY, TI, MB, Palazzo, Luxor, Wynn, Quad, Harrah's would not be considered again after about a day or two.
I am not a fan of City Center and points north of Wynn, as well as Downtown. I love the outside of Mirage/Venetian and love to hang out and people watch. I also do the same at Bellagio, hang out in front of Bellagio with Paris as a backdrop.
As Ferris once said "Life moves pretty fast, if you don't stop and look around once in awhile, you can miss it".

We pretty much hit up all the CET properties. Occasionally go over to Bellagio just to site-see and reminisce about our wedding there and every once in a while go wander around MGM (although now that the Lions are gone, probably won't do that any more). We skip pretty much everything else unless we have a specific reason to go to that property, which is rare.

I avoid CET properties because, IMHO, their customer service is poor.
