    My Trip Report

So the gf got an offer for 2 nights at LVH in the mail the other day...
WELL...we WERE planning on going up the coast to Fort Bragg, CA and Crater Lake, OR....BUUUT, we decided (lol, just last night) to go to VEGAS and stay at LVH.
Strangely, we have comps/FSP at Sam's Town and Gold Coast...but they're booked solid for the weekend, so we chose LVH
I'll try to do live updates as we go
We're going to leave out at 3pm today and probably arrive in VEGAS at around 11pm.

    The only planned things are:
    Saturday 9/28 -
Auto Collection @ Quad (Free Tix from website)
The Secret Garden @ Mirage (Free Tix from MyVegas)
Raiding The Rock Vault @ LVH (Free Tix with the Comp Offer)

    Dining Plans are:
Graveyard Special @ Boulder Station (Friday)
    Breakfast Buffet @ MSS (Saturday)
    Steak/Lobster Special @ GoldCoast (Saturday)
Breakfast Buffet @ Sunset Station (Sunday)

Looking forward to your TR! I've literally read every single report on the trip reports page and need more fuel to keep me going for the next 2 weeks. Bring it on!

Saw Raiding the Rock Vault in May and it was awesome. The guys look like they really are having a blast and after the show they came out to the bar. I would see it again.

    Update6:
Waaaahh!!! They took out the electronic UTH from Tropicana (replaced with RoyalMatch21)
So, I played $20 in Family Guy for a while...
Then went to the $10 UTH table at Tropicana, won $60 and cashed out.
Walked over to Excalibur to sign up for MLife (for MyVegas reward redemption)
On our way to see if there's a $5 UTH at NYNY...

    Update7:
Well, we scratched the idea of going to NYNY, since the monorail only runs until 3am, and we saw that LVH has UTH, so we just decided to 'rail back to LVH and see what's going on there, and probably just crash out.
Probably get one more update in tonight...

Ultimately, we played about 2 hours on them, on $50 each...
Were headed out to repark the car at LVH, and catch the monorail and go to Mirage and see the Secret Garden and then the Auto Collection at Quad...

Update11: (sorry it took so long)
Well, we used our MyVegas reward for the Secret Garden at Mirage...and I have to say, what a waste!! No WAY I'd spend $20 EACH on that!! Just to watch a couple dolphins swim, and three tigers sleep.
Afterwards we went over to Quad and walked through their auto collection (free coupon via website), they have a couple neat cars in there (a LOT of Rolls, and a Jag XJ220)
After that, we killed some time playing at Harrahs (and I emphasize KILLED...as in, I lost $200 on penny slots and the crap table!!)
So, being broke with my cash on hand, we decided to eat at Toby Keith's @ Harrahs (gf loves the fried bologna sandwich)
Now, were heading back to LVH via Monorail, to clean up and at 8pm, see the Rock Vault show.
I'll update after the show and let yall know how it was...

    Update12:
Went to the show, it was pretty good...
After the show, we rode the monorail up to MGM, with intentions on playing craps there, but the gf said she was tired and we could just play craps and video poker back at LVH...so we came back to LVH, and Kris decided she was hungry, so we stopped off at Pizza Hut Express here at LVH...I gotta say, that's the best damn personal pizza I've ever eaten, lol (guess I was hungry...Toby Keith's left A LOT to be desired!)
So, after killing the pizzas, we took out $500 to chase (never a good thing, lol)
    I told Kris, lets try a $1 triple-play SupeTimesPay ($18 a whack)...well, $100 didn't last too damn long, lol.
Lost another $50 at China Shores slots (I can never get that damn bonus!!)
After that, we hit up craps and lost $150 on $10 table
So we decided to try UTH again...errr! Wrong! Lost the last $200 between us...
On the bright side, I asked for/got a buffet for 2 for tommorow, lol...
So total, were down $700 right now, and heading to BED!!!
Gotta drive home tommorow and wanna play a little at M I think..
    Goodnight and good luck, lol.

    Update13:
Woke up at 11, got around and cleaned up, got out of the room by noon (check out time)
Went down to our "comped" brunch buffet...meh...for a property like LVH, I'm surprised it wasn't that big...now, the omelet I had was GREAT! and the crab legs had just the right amount of brine in them...and they also had Dr.Pepper, which was a huge plus, haha.
After that we took a ride out to North Vegas via Rancho Drive (wanted to show Kris where I used to skate at; Crystal Palace)
We WERE going to just head for home, but I got a reprieve from the Warden, and I was able to stop off at MSS to give 25c Treasure Chest one more shot...
Well, after $40 and not getting any decent hands, we called it quits.
So, here we are on our way home from Vegas at 2:45.
I'd say it was a little fun, but way too quick, and losing $800 sucked, lol.

    Odds&Ends:
On the way down to Vegas on Friday, I wanted to see if we could make it from Modesto to Vegas on a single tank in the Cruz...now, the distance was 488 miles, and the Cruz said it would go 505, so I figured we were good...
Lol, come the last big hill before Primm Valley and that bitch said "LOW" (not even displaying miles anymore!) and I was shittin bricks hoping I wouldn't run out of gas in the middle of nowhere...luckily traffic (and the car) cooperated, and I was able to make it over the hill and shift into Neutral and coast down into Primm (at around 100mph, lol)
Got into Primm and gassed up, only to find out I still had a gallon in there!

Once we got into our room, we were greeted with a remodeled East Tower room (#777), BUT it was a handicap room, so it had an annoying roll-in shower with no showerhead (only a handheld one, with no useful hook to hang it on to use as a normal shower) ANNND, the Toilet didn't work well (the ballcock was fucked up, so id basically have to manually get it to fill then wiggle the float to shut it off)
HOWEVER, even though they were only double beds, they were REALLY good!
Overall, LVH reminds me a LOT of GSR in Reno...but then again, they both were Hiltons...

At LVH, apparently the old Star Trek experience, they had a mariachi band playing Fri/Sat night, and I SWEAR that shit was turned up to 11!!! Literally EAR SPLITTING horns!

There was also the Mr. Olympian competition at LVConventionCenter, so we saw all these RIPPED men AND women at LVH.

Saw a guy take a $10k marker at LVH craps, and proceed to bet $100 boxcars, continually...when I left he was down $6k, without hitting a 12 (yes, 60 rolls no 12!!)

From what I could tell, all the crap tables suck, and they only stay crowded because people lose and leave, and there is immediately people filling it back up anxious to lose their money...saw more than a few tables go 7 shooters in a row without a point...also, I always bet a hi/lo on the come out, and I literally hit it TWICE the entire weekend! (once at Harrahs and once at LVH)

Also seen a HELLUVA lot of people "setting" the dice, which all they did was slow the damn game down and they still sucked at rolling. AND with the constant buyins, it makes for very slow game...

As always, Manny makes great omelets at MSS Buffet...

Toby Keith's ILoveThisBar&Grille was waaay overpriced (only went there cuz Kris wanted to)

The monorail is the only way to fly up and down the strip.
