Can't help with a buffet, but the Redwood, at the Cal has a pound and half, split, King Crab for $40 as an entree, including sides.
My wife orders it every trip.

Very good and makes a tasty breakfast appetizer for me the next morning. She can never finish them.

Most / all of the higher end buffets have them. I am not a buffet person, so it has been a few years, but last time I was at Bellagio and the Wynn buffets, both had them.

Yeah, Bellagio has some huge ones. Good news is they're served split (or at least they were) but cold. I heard you could request them be heated though if that's your preferred way of eating them.

Don't know of any buffet that serves them for lunch during the week. Maybe a weekend brunch?

    Wynn
    Aria
    Planet Hollywood

The Rio seafood buffet might, but not positive about that one.

All of those only serve the king crab during dinner.

The last several times I have been to the Wynn, they were snow crab, and not King crab. The Wynn sign outside the buffet says "Opilio" crab, which is snow crab. It's still large and very good though.
The Bellagio still serves King crab for dinner.
It's been a while since I was at Bacchanal, but it seems they are serving a majority snow crab, with small pieces of King crab mixed in.
Planet Hollywood served snow crab for dinner last time I was there.

Bellagio is your best bet if your set on King crab.

I would recommend a nice steakhouse, I'm sure the quality will be much better than at a buffet.

If you take the cold ones to the steam table they will heat them for you--they were wonderful

went to aria buffet last year (before the redo) @ 3pm. they had large snow crab legs out for lunch which were large, sweet and delicious. they changed over for dinner and brought out king crab which were slightly larger but dry and flavorless. we enjoyed the snow crab a lot more than the king crab.

also, about 5 years ago (?) went to spice market buffet just after they switched to PH and had the best Alaskan king crab I ever had on a buffet. not sure if they still serve those.

and what Joe said. we often eat at redwood grill and their king crab platter is an awesome deal. we order those and a rib eye and share. way more than enough! very good deal!! good luck!

    Bacchus Buffet

Bufett at Caesars had king crab a few weeks ago. Cold at the seafood counter and hot from the Italian station. (To split up the lines) I thoughly enjoyed my huge plate of it.:licklips:

fyi - nearly all buffets offer snow crab, not king.
My best bets for buffet crab legs are Bellagio (they will boil them for you) and Wynn (they will grill them for you). However, I did not realize Wynn no longer offers king crab. That's a shame, as they were the largest legs in town.

I was wondering about that. I have never found snow crab to be worth the time and effort to get to the "meat".

If we can't get king, we don't do it, but we are not dinner buffet people. I want a sit down meal and that's why Redwood always fits the bill for KCL.

Even though it isn't king crab, the snow crab that Wynn currently serves is still by far the largest snow crab I've seen. Certainly much bigger than the snow crab you would see on a Chinese buffet and bigger than the snow crab on most other Vegas buffets. The best part (as you mentioned) is that they will heat them on the grill which adds a very slight smokey flavor. I'll be honest, when it's heated on the grill and then dipped in melted butter, it's really hard for me to tell the difference from king crab. It's still really good!

did the wynn one night in last month, the bellagio buffet the next night.
Bellagio had both snow and king, wynn had only snow. bellagio snow was bigger legs as well, and in general I thought bellagio was the better of the 2 buffets- hands down. and a few bucks cheaper. For me, I see no need to go to the wynn again.

I was at the Ceasars dinner buffet two weeks ago and it was not King Crab. Was still good though.

No surprise there. Ever since Harrahs/CET took over Rio, that buffet has gone to hell in a hand basket.
