During the summer I took a few trips to AC, I had the "kids" ( 17 & 13) with me so my gaming was very restricted. After reading over this site I now know why my offers seem to have dipped down. I was choppy at playing, a little here a little there for literally 20-40 mins at a time ,sporadically, over the course of three days ( this was done 3 times...) So now I have a solo Vegas trip coming up, that too is only 3 days, here is my question- When they calculate your TR credits is it for one "sit down" session or truly the 24 hour gaming day? (6am to 5:59 am) Also regarding the hours do they base it on their own time zone? Or say, East coast, Pacific etc? Additionally if it is 24 hours can it be combined from one property to another? Or is it per property play? My flight lands 10pm-ish. So I am wondering if it would be best to just start gaming in the morning, I am an early riser, and I'm coming from East Coast, I will be up before 6. If my bank roll will allow, I would probably play 25.-75. bj till about 4pm ( have a tour reservation and show tickets later) but would plan to be back around 11pm ish and resume gaming. A few years back when I earned Platinum I must have done it in-a-day at ready for this.... IP at a 10.00 table no less.( a good luck streak and much alcohol consumption were major contributors, this I can assure you) Prior to that I had my gold card and I was happy and content. Know I do realize Plat is not a major deal but man oh man here in NJ it's great for skipping lines and getting rooms. So even though I never thought much about it I now kind feel like I have become a tier-chaser. While I know I am considered a low-roller the perks Platinum offers me are fine for me and I would like to maintain so just trying to utilize my gaming hours to the best of my ability. This should be my last post for a while, sorry if I am driving any of you guys crazy
I'm pretty sure their gambling day is as you thought 6 am to 6 am, Vegas time and it would combine all of the tier credits accumulated from your gambling at all of their casinos. However, I learned in August that for comped items, they also look at how long you played. So if you are staying in a comped room at Harrahs for instance and hope to get some of your meals comped as well you should spend most of your time gambling there rather than spreading it out amongst all their properties. Good luck, have fun!
So if you are staying in a comped room at Harrahs for instance and hope to get some of your meals comped as well you should spend most of your time gambling there rather than spreading it out amongst all their properties. CET has always told me just the opposite for some time now--they say that all their hotels in LV count as one big property for comp purposes.
In August, I had to see one of the hosts in the host office as mine was on vacation. We had charged about $300 in meals to the room and she told me they probably wouldn't comp all of it because we had only played about 6 hours at Caesars. I told her it was because their machines were so tight that we couldn't win at all there so we had started playing at some of their other casinos after losing about $4,000 in the first two days. She wanted us to spend more time playing at Caesars, which we did but in the end it didn't matter as my host called me and told me not to worry about any charges to the room. Maybe she was just being bi*chy!
Happygirl I think the rest of your questions were answered. Your daily tier credits are combined amongst everything you earn across all their properties during that 24-hour day (e.g. 6am-6am) local time amongst all your sessions. Those count towards any daily tier bonus award. Its the same in AC. However I don't think your plan to start gambling the next day is necessary. If you booked the room using your TR number you will trigger a day just by checking in anyway. So you can gamble that day if you want, even if its a little. It'll just show up as a zero play day otherwise. Net net it probably doesn't matter as long as your total gambling over the trip is the same, but you don't need to feel you have to give up some gambling hours. You'll already be active in the system that first night anyway.
I think the only thing people say about CET is not to play on the last morning when you checkout unless you're going to play a good amount. the checkout itself doesn't trigger another day, so if you just play a little, you will trigger another day and dilute your ADT.
I learned this the hard way. Always dropped $20-$100 after breakfast. Big mistake. Still drop it, but without my card.
I was just at Harrahs AC and checked with my host about the times when the day ends and starts as my arrival time was going to be after 11pm. He confirmed 6 am is the start of the play day. He suggested I not play Sat night on my late arrival and consolidate my play on Sunday to take advantage of the bonus tier credit program. That was my plan going in but I ended up playing midnight to 3:30 am on night one and another 4 hours Sunday. I intentionally avoided any play Monday.I hope buying markers back does not trigger a play day. That's actually a good question for CET people.
Yes, to take advantage of the bonus sure, you're better off consolidating it into a single day. I got the impression (maybe mistaken) that she planned to avoid playing the first night so she doesn't trigger an active play day for ADT purposes. That's not the case for the night you check in. Otherwise if you were there for only 1 night (as people do in AC a lot) you could just not gamble and it wouldn't affect your ADT. That can't be the case. The day of checkout is a different story. It shouldn't trigger a play day as long as you take care of all your comp stuff the night before. The whole thing about triggering play days is really silly. All it does for me is make me less likely to gamble those small amounts I normally do on the morning I checkout. MLife's method makes a lot more sense for guests staying at the hotel. CET's method makes a lot more sense for non-guests just visiting the casino. I don't know why they can't just marry the two ideas.
