I just got an email CET gifted me 700 tr credits for being a " loyal" customer. Granted I'm still a little short for next year platinum but my upcoming trip should more than cover it.

    Thanks CET, lol!!

I got one saying they're giving me 7300 tier credits to help me reach the next diamond aspirations level. I played 2 days at Harrah's Rincon in July to get to diamond, so I would still need another 15k tier credits to reach the 40k level. I looked it up and all that gives you is a 4 night stay. WTF?! Why would anyone give another $50k in action to get 4 free nights?

    Thanks, CET, but no thanks.

I also received the gift, 7900 credits, also to help me reach the next diamond level. Still leaves me about 13,000 to go. Don't see that happening.

Ditto, and if it's based on "loyalty" I've only been staying there off and on since Harrahs was the Holiday Casino. Guess that's not loyal enough unless I dump thousands each trip.:grrr:

I didn't but I recall last time they changed the point levels to earned a tier, there were people who they protected. I was going to go from Diamond down to Gold and they awarded me Platinum anyway. It also sounds like they are using it as a way to get people back in who they think are going elsewhere.

I just got a 900 tier credit bonus, so i'm up to about 3000. CET knows that i have 1 more trip booked in November, which is probably why they gave then to me. However, i know i won't reach 2000 more credits in Nov..........wish they were RC's instead since i use my RC's daily in the snack shop.

    @paperposter @jackincols
Do you guys have Vegas plans for the rest of 2013? Maybe it's because i'm already booked and they know that i might (yeah right) spend more money trying to achieve Platinum (yeah right).
I'm probably wrong, just an idea into their thinking.

Playing a little bit extra to get to platinum is one of those times where it makes sense to "comp chase". If you go to Vegas several times a year, being platinum could save you hundreds in resort fees.

8,700 here! It really won't matter much to me though as I have virtually no chance of reaching Diamond Aspirations Level 2. I'm curious about their motivation here....

I booked Bally's back in Feb. so i'm comped for the week AND have no resort fee when i go in Nov. I go to Vegas 3 times a year, but when i next go in the Spring (2014), i'll be back to zero.
I usually get about 800-1000 TC's per trip..........now, if Caesars will reward me another 900 TC's before Nov. i might consider it. Maybe i can play quarters more often instead of pennies. But otherwise, i would need to really have a lucky streak to allow my bankroll to increase during the week. CET gives me free rooms, so the max i would have to pay is about $300 in resort fees (5 x $20 x 3). For me personally, comp chasing is not worth it just to waive the fees.

I didn't get any and I put on 31,657 tier credits in 2 trips this year. I wonder if that other poster is right? Maybe I didn't get them because I'm already booked again for a November trip?

I got the bonus last year (2000) when I had 6000 points and it brought me to 8000. It worked as I scheduled a couple of extra trips to get to diamond. They only give bonus if you are at certain points within levels. They see your average play, give you bonuses that will get you close with a couple of extra sessions you wouldn't normally be doing. If it gets you thinking "with a little extra, NOW, I can get to that next level", then their marketing is working. Us who are entrenched where we are without any real hope in the last 3 months of getting to the next level are not getting bonuses.

Again I'm at 6000 for the year, about the same as last year. 2000 points do me no good as they've raised the diamond to 15000. They'd have to give me 7000 points for me to possibly get there and that's too much so I got nothing this year.

They are just trying to entice you to try a little harder (meaning more days in their casinos). If you're close it might be worth it. It was for me as I've enjoyed Diamond all year.

Yeah, that's what I thought they were doing...trying to get people to make extra, previously unplanned trips in order to chase the next level. It will work on many, I presume.

They gave me 700 points, bumped me from 4011 to 4711

Thanks, I was already planning a Thanksgiving weekend to lock in platinum for next year.

Now I won't have to give them all my play and can spend more time DT :evillaugh

Man I wonder where my bonus is....I'm in pretty much the same boat as you, Molder (and a number of others who have posted here). Currently at 4139, so just under 900 from platinum. It won't be a problem hitting it on my December trip, but if I got a bonus of 500 or so, I could spend a lot more time playing VP at Gold Coast :evillaugh

You're too close. You are less than 20% away with over 25% of the year left.
