Hi all, I'm a new member here and this is my first post. I go to Vegas about 4-5 times a year, I play mostly at MGM properties, but I did not sign for MLIFE untill 12/30/12 (I know, took me a while to wise up). I visited Vegas three times after that and my Mlife tier now stand at 161K credits, I'm sure I will hit platinum on my next visit. I do not have a casino host and all what I'm getting offers wise is three night free deluxe room at MGM resort and 100$ FBC and 75-100$ free play per quarter. other Mlife resorts give me no offers or may be 2 free weekdays night, and no FBC. my friend who signed for Mlife same time as I'm but only been to Vegas twice since that has 53K credit (pearl), and his offers at MGM is three night free suite and 250 FBC and free shows and same goes for free nights at bellagios and arias with FBC. what am I missing here? why he get all these offers when he has 56K credits and I get not even half as he gets? are my offers reasonable and I should accept them and appreciate them? thank you much and looking forward to hear any ideas.
sorry to burst your bubble, but you will not make platinum on your next visit unless your next visit is this week. one week from tomorrow you will have 0 tier credits as they reset on Oct 1 each year. so you will need to earn 200k more TCs before Oct 1 2014 in order to make Platinum. now comps have nothing to do with status (pearl vs gold) or tier credits. they come from the level of your play and your theo. if he's been there for fewer days, he may have a higher theo per day than you. that said, Mlife is notorious for giving terrible offers to some people that deserve much higher and awesome offers to some people that don't deserve anywhere near that much. but there's too many variables to know for sure what's going on with you and your friend. however, based on your limited information, it sounds like your offer is pretty reasonable for your play and his offer is way more than he deserves.
I will go with what Shifter said as to offers. More or even equal play, but over less days/visits results in a higher average play in their system.
It's common knowledge that Mlife rewards table players while CET Rewards slots. Hubbie is a table player and I am slots. We have been staying at CET properties on my comps for years but want to get back to staying at Mirage. For whatever reason, hubbie gets no snail mail offers and his online A/C has had issues. I recd an offer from Mirage for two comped nights and the third at $29, with some free play and B1G1 coupons, so I booked it. Now that I'm am starting to really plan the trip, I realized hubbie must have better offers than me, so we spent probably two hours yesterday trying to fix his Mlife account. Finally, after several phone calls and dealing with IT, he can log in and his account activity is all there. We only play at Mirage and Bellagio, but the only comped night (one) he has is at the LOW end casinos, think Excalibur, etc. He has reduced rates elsewhere but still at high amounts. I was shocked to see this. I thought for sure he would have some really good offers and much better than mine. So much for the theory that table players get better offers than slots. And yes, he plays the required amount and time to receive better offers. Weird. We may have to rethink the whole Mlife deal, and go back to Harrahs properties.
Not all offers show up on Mlife. My Mlife only shows reduced rate, but when I call up some of the properties, they tell me I have a full comp and F&B. Try calling the property up directly to see what offers they have in their system. Also I thought it was the other way around; slot players get better comps than table players because slots have a higher ADT.
This is true, especially since your play is accurately credited with slot machines and because they tend to be more profitable for the casino than table games. Back to the OP; Higher ADT of players with less credits will result in better comps. Personally, I mix some slot play into my craps gaming day because I'll usually receive better offers than when I play craps alone.
