I just booked my flight for the Friday - Tuesday of the Superbowl. I was wondering whether room comps are harder to come by for Superbowl weekend? Specifically at Boyd properties (Main Street Station, and Gold Coast).

Their prices for these dates don't seem any higher than normal. Should I expect to have comp offers for these days when the Jan/Feb comes come out, or are these usually restricted comp days?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

They will go up. My recommendation would be to book rooms at the normal prices now so that way if comps don't roll in you're locked in before the Super Bowl Weekend price inflation sets in.

I have gone two of the last three years for SB Weekend and each time it was super crowded. I had comps at CET props but they filled up quick and by December the room rates were high.

they will be blacked out on 99% of normal offers. basically the only way to get comped on that weekend is through a host.

Thanks for the replies. I just booked all 4 nights at Main Street Station. Hopefully I can get at least a couple of the nights comped later on.

I find that once you book a room you never get comps for those dates. Especially CET casinos. I've booked rooms at CET properties for SB weekend well in advance. When I do that I never get any other offers for Feb. or SB weekend. Other offers meaning comp rooms, free show tickets, free play coupons, etc. for the month of Feb.(SB). They seem to skip the month I'm coming.

A friend and his wife went with me last year to Vegas for the Super Bowl and received their offers to their on-line account for two free nights through May 31st and booked the Saturday-Sunday and his wife booked Monday on account. At Orleans. Orleans also has a Super Bowl party invite usually for Friday-Sunday nights with viewing on big screen for two. With marginal food. You might check your b-connected account and see.

I do have a couple of comp nights at CET, but I'm a big fan of the Boyd properties. I'd rather pay the low cost to stay at MSS, and try to get it comped on the backend.

I have been considering paying to stay at the LVH for Superbowl Sunday. I've been researching where the best places are to watch the superbowl, and it sounds like it would be great to have easy access to the sports book at the LVH for just that day.

End of last week I received an offer for mgm, a suite (grand tower 1 bedroom suite or whatever it is called) limo, 2 tix to any mgm property show excluding the new Michael Jackson at the mandalay, o, and zarkana (booked ka), and $300 resort credit. I actually booked it for superbowl weekend (fri-mon) and did not use a host.

It did say it was blacked out for that weekend, but was still able to use that offer.

Several years ago, 2007 in fact, when the Bears went to the SB, we were all set to go to Vegas. Had many offers from The STRAT , for the big game via our host, where we had been staying exclusively for about two years. We booked our airfare, paying the most we ever had and then I went to call to book the room. I've never had a problem booking a room, especially with a host. Except this time. Apparently our host had left, not only had he taken our info with him to another off strip casino, but deleted us from the Strats database. They had no info on us and told us the best they could do was 200 a night or something. Yikes!! That wasn't going to happen. I started calling around and the prices went up from there, several fold, many were over $500 a night. I started panicking thinking we weren't going to be able to go, and lose 1100 in airfare. For S&G, I started calling the numbers on the back of my stack of players cards, getting more and more despondent with each "offer". We hadn't stayed at a CET property in at least ten years but I put a call into Ballys anyway and talked to a host. Not expecting anything. But I was told C'mon down and we will give you three free nights. OMG. We went and had a great time, especially the first 28 seconds of the disastrous game. We have been pretty loyal CET patrons since then. So definately check the calendar online or make a phone call. I realize things have drastically changed in regards to comps and offers since 2007, but it never hurts to ask.
