Wife and I have a second home in Vegas. I spend most of my time gaming and wife likes shows/shopping. In our younger days we have been there, done that....now we have passed the partying stage and have little or no feel for where six cougars would go for a good time-partying.

We have some friend back East here that are going to Vegas in early Jan. Air fare and rooms already booked--staying on the strip. Since we spend a lot of time in Vegas they have asked me to make recommendations as to where to go for a good time.

They are all around 45-50 and divorced. Yes! They like to party. Several have been to Vegas but only once or twice and like most of us on the first trip or two to Vegas they were like fish out of water. A couple have a birthday and this time they want to have a good time and that means partying.

I am familiar with all casino as far as location and what they have to offer concerning gaming/shows (but not night life). Its just that I don't know where a handful of cougars would best fit in and enjoy a good time.

Any info/suggestions would be appreciated, given my attention and passed along.

Thanks in advance for your input.

Foundation room at Mandalay Bay is always a good place. Cleopatras Barge at Caesars is a good stop. Mixx can be good place depending on time of the week.

January you have CES and AVN awards, those nearly 2 weeks will improve ambience.

I think they would enjoy a drink, or two, at Don't Tell Momma and Beauty Bar on Fremont East, downtown.

Honestly, there are SO many choices

When I have gone with my girlfriends, we never lacked for entertainment!
We loved the Pub at Monte Carlo, Carnival Court, eyecandy at Mandalay Bay.
I could also see MIX at Mandalay Bay, Indigo Lounge at Ballys, the VP bar w/ a band near at Paris, piano bars at Harrahs, Paris, Monte Carlo or NYNY, Cleopatras Barge at Caesars, Kahunaville at TI.
Honestly, we are the type that ends up at the Mirage pool bar at 10AM trying to get Ice tea for our girlfriends lounging at the pool (on our way to TI for Starbucks)..and NEVER LEAVING as we get a couple of bloody Mary's (hey, olives & celery are breakfast!), so I guess we have fun anywhere. We were married 30 somethings then, but I am CERTAIN we would have the same fun as 40 somethings (still married, some very close to 50).
If they are planning to have fun, allow the cocktails to flow & GO WITH THE FLOW, they will all have a blast!

I would second the recommendation of Beauty Bar. I've been there (about the same age) and did not feel out of place even though the regular crowd is indeed younger.

Both Ballys and Paris lounges are great also.

One place my fiance and her group enjoyed in July (32-49 in ages) was Toby Keith's Bar on Thursday night. $20 all you can drink drafts, wines and wells. They thought they would use that for a good starting point and ended up staying there until 2 AM. Live band and dj in between band sets. They had a blast.

Six cougars is more than a handful! I have no suggestions. It sounds like the party will be wherever you are!
