College Football Pick 'Em For VMB

Any College football fans on the board these days? For several years I created a 'pick'em' league for VMB on Yahoo Fantasy Sports. Last year I was distracted and the college football season had begun by the time I thought about creating a group. I just created a group called VMB College Football Fans for the 2013 season. This will be a straight pick'em. Meaning you don't consider the point spread. Picks must be made 5 minutes before the 1st game each week. Your lowest week's score will be dropped from the final tally. The games will be from the AP Top 25 and the Yahoo default. This should give us 30-40 games to pick each week.

Yeah, it is a lot of games. There will be a number of games that are both AP Top 25 and ones chosen by Yahoo editors. So that may make the total # of games a bit less. Any ole way it will be fun to spend some time picking winners.

Just use this thread as the bragging thread so I can remember to go make my picks. I had to create a Yahoo account because I've never used it for anything so I may forget to make my picks over there instead of just on ESPN.

 

You can set up an email reminder in Yahoo (to a non-Yahoo email address if you're so inclined). That helped me the last time VMB had a pick-em.

I almost forget it is about to be that time of year for fantasy football. I have been concentrating on talking smack about becoming a back to back fantasy football winner in my nfl league I almost forgot about my college football fantasy bug. Went to the cbs site and they seem to be charging this year, does anyone know of any free college football fantasy football sites?

Is this where I brag about being #1 this week.
Had a nice profit on college football this week. I hope everyone else killed the book. Lets move on to the NFL.
I plan on being #1 next week too.

 

For somebody who has never placed a bet on college football in Vegas I'll gladly take 2nd place for now.

 

Damn, I just screwed myself for this week. I'm used to the NFL pick'em on ESPN where I could login and choose only the Thursday night game, then come back on Saturday and make the rest of my picks for the Sunday/Monday games. I guess Yahoo doesn't work that way. I logged in this morning to make the pick for the 1 Friday night game, then figured I would pick the Saturday games tonight. I just went back to make the rest of my picks and I guess you have to have all of your picks in before the first game. I guess this will be the week that gets dropped from my final score.

So far the picks have been pretty easy. They will get much tougher when more league play starts.

 

Congratulations to Kentucky Wildcats for the win in our College Pick 'Em league. KW eked out a win over Eagles with a few solid weekends late in the season. I'm going to set up a College Bowls Pick 'Em league. Will post the details in a bit.
