I just made a trip for next week and I will be in town for the Thursday NFL opener, Sunday opening weekend, and Monday Night Football.

I have never been to Downtown Vegas, but I currently plan on going Thursday Sep 5th and would like to watch the game there. Which book has the best screen, seating, or specials usually for NFL football?

Also, Is it worth sitting all sunday at the LVH Sportsbook? I have been to almost all strip sportsbooks, but they are usually hard to get seats so it is hard to see more than 1-2 games at a time and i probably won't bet enough to get many drink tickets.

Can't speak with authority regarding DT, as there have been additions and upgrades since my last football visit.
LVH is the best all around book in Vegas IMHO. Takes the most action, good lines, isn't part of Cantor like so many previous single shops, good service, and lots of screens.
As such, like all the Vegas major books, it's crowded. No getting around it.
Given your stated low limit bets it's either get there early or try one of the smaller places.

Downtown, I'll have to say the Golden Nugget. It's much smaller than anything you'll find on the strip, but the staff is nice, I think you get a couple of free drinks with a betting slip, nice comfy chairs and a good amount of t.v's. Their sportsbook really isn't ever that busy. I've been there during football, baseball, and bowl game season (s) and have always been able to find a seat.

As to your query about LNH Superbook, imo, hell yes. I love that place, but I know the drill if you plan on spending a Sunday there, be a good boy and get in early Saturday night, because to get a chair you'll need to be there pretty early. It used to be free drinks with just one drink ticket, now I think it's one per or some such. Also, the bookies can be kinda surly there, so know the numbers of your teams and how you want to wager. I've seen them point blank tell bettors to step aside until they know what they want to lay down, and they were well within their right to do so. I'm more of a college football fan so I love Saturdays there. Hope this helps, and enjoy your trip.

The remodeled Plaza book isn't bad except for that damn perfume smell in the place.

Check out The Ultimate Fan Cave when you go to LVH. It's in the back of the sports book. No smoking, multiple large screens. Comfy chairs. That's where I will be hanging out first weekend in November.

For the first week of the season, I would go to the LVH for the early games (as there is 10 of them) and than go somewhere else for the late games (as there's only 2 of them). With such little action late, you don't need to be in a sports bar to follow all the action. Find a bar somewhere and play some VP during this time or go somewhere that serves more than hot dogs and nachos for food.

LVH is great, due to the fact that you have the option of going to the sportsbook or the theatre on Sunday. Much more comfortable having a seat than being crammed like a standing sardine at casinos with only a book.

Scratch The D 12th Floor Ballroom off the DT Football viewing option. They don't open it except for March Madness now.

Radio City Pizza is on LVB and Fremont with twenty-six 32inch TV's scattered about their small cafe. Many of them line the low ceiling along the small dining area with several in view from each table. Two larger TV's are good for viewing at the 16 seat bar.

A bartender says they'll have $1 drafts and $5 for 2 slices. There was some other special but she was cute and I got distracted.
