The experts can expound on this (or just correct any of my errors): Average bet * hours played * decisions/hour * house advantage. We know the average bet and the hours played. The house advantage for roulette can be easily found by knowing what kind of table you were on - 00, 0 or Euro. http://wizardofodds.com/games/roulette/ And according to the wizard of odds, decisions/hour are as follows: http://wizardofodds.com/ask-the-wizard/136/ From there, it's pretty simple arithmetic.
rittermd was this all at an mlife property? If so you should be able to take your tier credits earned, minus any you got from hotel spend, and divide by 30. Post your number so we can see how many spins per hour that worked out to.
But this assumes the 30TC/$Theo is correct...I thought that was just the hypothesized value and not 100% confirmed yet...
I've never seen anyone confirm at TC number based on theo for CET. Based on people's own experiences posted here the earning rate for blackjack is roughly the same though based on average bet (with 1 CET TC = 10 MLife TC). So a decent guess would be its the same for theo (3 TCs per $1 theo). But that's just a guess.
thanks kickin but does that mean you need $5000 theo to be diamond and $50,000 theo to be seven stars? isnt that too high??
5k theo is nothing. That actually sounds low to me. Even 50k is not but a couple of decent trips. I doubt you can make 7 stars on that.
that does seem way too low for Seven Stars, or Diamond for that matter. That would get Seven Stars in two trips for me, which doesn't seem right.
Like I said I'm just guesstimating on it by making all the other numbers fit. Basically, we know MLife is 30 TC/$1 theo and from our BJ play it worked out to 15-16 TC per $ average bet per hour. With CET its worked out to 1.5-1.6 TC per $ average bet per hour. Therefore it would imply 3 TC /$1 theo at CET assuming for the same game they calculate theo the same way. I agree with shifter and VegasBJ it sounds low on the surface. But compared to MLife its roughly the same where Platinum takes about $7k theo and is comparable to Diamond. Before NOIR changed (or changed back) from the 1MM TC level it took a little over $30k theo and now I don't know what it is. Nonetheless that makes those CET numbers look believable. In reality with CET it can be done for as low as 1/3rd those theos with bonus tiers now, but that's a whole different issue...
In conversations w people at CET they say targeted theo to get to diamond is $7k and 7 Stars is $70k, which puts us closer to 2 TCs/$1 theo. I think at CET TCs accrue a bit slower on table games vs slots for the same theo, though, which throws things off a bit.
ok, that makes a little more sense. it's always unofficially been 100k theo in a year for Noir, so 70k for 7 stars is reasonable. then you're looking at a lot more than that for the upper levels of 7 stars.
Good to know. That also means the difference between the ratio of TCs earned relative to theo vs to average bet between MLife and CET, at least for the game we play, is due to CET using a little higher HA. Which is good since on average their BJ does have a higher HA. It's the only other variable.
Correct. Supposedly CET also uses the same HA to calculate theo for all BJ players, which is really screwing those who play some of their poor games and benefiting those of us who play their 0.26% HL game. While the source of this is fairly credible, I am not absolutely convinced it is true. Come to think of it, though, if it is true it explains the perception that low limit BJ players get poor comps at CET.
3CP and PGP don't even belong near the same sentence as it relates to comps. PGP has one of the lowest HAs in the entire house, partly due to the high number of pushes and partly due to the slow pace of the game. 3CP on the other hand has an incredibly high HA. 3CP will get you decent comps at the green level and incredible comps at the black chip level, while PGP gets you almost nothing even at very high levels.
