    Hey All,

We'll be downtown in October and have a day to travel about. I noticed a Blackjack tournament at the Cannery. What else...if anything does it offer...good?

    Pros and Cons??

    Thanks!!

The Cannery has great food. Waverly's is one of the best steakhouses in town. Casa Cocina (Mexican) and Vino's (Italian) are very good. And Victory's is a very good 24/7 cafe. The buffet is reasonably priced -- nothing special, but not bad.

It's a friendly place to play, with good comps and promotions. The showroom is called the Club, and has shows every week, mostly tribute bands. They recently remodeled/upgraded their movie theaters. They have a very nice, large sportsbook, as well as a separate sports bar with a betting kiosk machine. There's musical entertainment in the center lounge most nights (the Pin-Up Bar). There's a large non-smoking bingo room, as well as a large non-smoking slot parlor.

If your first time, they offer some free play, and 2 for 1 food specials via a text message on your phone. Check out their website for details on that.

Overall, I like the place a lot.......good food, good staff, good times. I will certainly be back.
