Valet?

I never use valet service with my car.

How much do you tip? And do you tip the driver who takes your car as well as the driver who brings it to me?

We only tip upon picking up the car, usually $3-$5. Some people will tip more, some less. Some tip both when dropping off and picking up.

 

Thanks. Its whatever i feel necessary then. I was thinking that valet gets tip when retrieving the car.

 

This topic is frequently debated here... I'm a $5 in and $5 out kinda guy and realize I'm a bit on the high side. I've also never had any issues... just good service!

 

A couple of bucks when picking up your car is what I tip and everybody seems fine with that.

 

I stuck with just tipping when picking up and had a couple of snide comments when dropping the car off.

 

If I am driving a rental - I tip only upon pick up.

If I am driving my truck I tip $5 in and $5 out
