I saw a list....are there many shuttles that take people to different hotels? Is there anyway I can find a list of the order of stops?

I am staying at the Aria. Taxi fare is approx $17-18 from what I have read. then tip of course.

Shuttles much cheaper but usually the milk run.

    Arriving Sunday around 1pm.

    Thanks

If you mean shuttles from the airport to the hotels, none of the Strip hotels have shuttles directly from the airport. The airport shuttles load up a bunch of people, and start dropping them off in a "which hotel is closest" order. You can be on the shuttle for 15 minutes or an hour, depending on what route the driver decide on.

If you mean between hotels, not many hotels have shuttles between each other, but there are a few. See this thread for some info.

Thanks. I realize it hits many hotels. I just thought they had a route.

I see what your saying. So tech Aria could be last depending on when he wants to drop me off?

Precisely. Taking the shuttle can be the first "gamble" of your trip. If your shuttle is full of people staying at say...MGM, then you might be the last stop. There's no way to really tell because each makeup of the passengers is different. There are some general "zones" but they are fluid based on demand at that time. Those shuttles rarely leave with more than one or two empty seats, even if you have to wait a half hour to fill up.

Hehe yes! As it should be in Vegas I suppose. I just remember taking shuttles in the past. Regretting it. Then saying ill never do it again. Awhile later take a shuttle lol, then day ill never do it again lol, vicious cycle for me.

To me it never seemed worthwhile to save ~10-$15 to possibly wait an hour +. If headed downtown, then saving ~$30-$40 seemed more reasonable.

I'm sure the shuttles do have a route. I assume they head down to Hard Rock/Trop/MGM first, and then Mandalay Bay all the way up the strip to downtown. I can't imagine they head downtown and then come back to drop someone off at Luxor.

How lucky you get depends on

    1) How long it takes to fill the shuttle.
    2) How many people are staying at places before Aria.

Considering there are more casinos to the North than the South, I would assume a trip to Aria would be pretty quick. Always a gamble. :)

Even if they have a "route", it will vary on each trip depending on who shows up for the ride.

I assume you are solo, as the price for two people gets close the cost of a taxi.

Yeah! With two would be a no brainer for me via cab. :). It will probably be a last minute decision.

I was looking at rental car as it would be nice to have flexability. But not at the cost of a car at this date. Ill keep looking everyday for price drops.

Most times they won't group downtown hotels in with the strip unless it's maybe The STRAT or something "on the way." They don't want their shuttles running all over the Valley as that costs them time and money. I think, for the most part, the shuttle trip itself won't take much longer than an hour after leaving the airport, no matter how many stops they have.

They do have routes, but by where Aria is situated you could be on the mid strip route or the south strip route, and where it is specifically plus that its on the west side of The Strip it is likely to be one of the last stops on either route.

Any crazy traffic changes will also mess up their routes. I have been there more than once when parts of the strip were shut down -totally. Traffic gets really nasty in a hurry.
