Besides Lagasse, anyone have recommendations on sportsbooks or Saturday/Sunday football parties (i.e. places like FIX, Rhumbar, etc.) that take reservations in advance?

I am getting too old to get up at the crack of dawn to save a few seats in the sportsbook. I'll pay the extra money to waltz in right at kickoff!

I think the sportsbar that replaced the ESPNZone at NYNY takes reservations

I'm looking for the same thing. I checked the place at NYNY and its already all booked up... I really want a place locked down I can go eat/drink/watch games with the GF... she will not wanna get up early.

I am not a big enough roller to call the casino marketing people so may be outa luck.

If you just want to watch games, you can find places off the strip in non casino restaurants.

    Go to slower sportsbooks

I've always found seats at the slower books like Bally's, Paris, PHo. :peace:

My next trip is in November and it will be the first time that I have been there during a regular NFL Sunday.

How is it at The Mirage? I have stayed there three times and love the place and the book.

What time would I need to be planted in a seat to be secure?

Being that this will likely be a solo trip - how the hell can I get up to place bets or use the bathroom without some schmoe taking my spot?

You know the book is completely different now, right? It's better, though.

A jacket or something on your seat will keep it. Or just ask the guy next to you to hold it. I've never had a problem.

Your options for finding a seat are much better if you're by yourself, but you still want to get there early.

    Really? What did they change?

I haven't been to Vegas since Super Bowl 2012.

The Mirage was the place my girlfriend and I stayed when we made our inaugural trek to LV and I fell in love with the place.

For the right player level you can get sky boxes or couches reserved at many of the books.

I did a bit more research and found a site that shows all the football parties for 2013 in the casinos.

Most of them you don't even need to reserve in advance. They seem to use a nearby lounge to the sports book, so you can still get your bets in, but also don't have to worry about scoring seats early.

For Sunday NFL --- Hit up the LVH.

It's great....free, cheap eats and drinks, and free drawings throughout.

8 a.m. is my suggestion. Earlier on Sat. ( 6 a.m.?) if you want to catch College Game Day with Lee, Kirk and the gang. Best college pregame show on TV, IMO

Have a great time. I'll be doing the same in about 2 1/2 weeks.

What hotel are you staying at? I would contact the sportsbook manager where you are staying and just ask them if they will reserve a seat for you. I think staying at the hotel means something. I contacted the PHO manager about an upcoming trip, told him we are staying at the hotel, our level of play, and slipped in something about playing the horses as well during game day. Im not a big player at all and he is saving two seats for us. Just be honest and friendly and you never know. If you don't ask you are guaranteed to not get anything!
