Hi - I'm organising a friend's bachelor party in vegas next year. There will be about 12 of us flying over from London (UK) for 3 nights. We are thinking of coming over in March or April. I have never been to LV before so would greatly appreciate any advice you can give me on:

    (1) hotels to stay in? Ideally somewhere on the strip - budget probably $150 per person per night.

    (2) best rooms to get? We're happy to 'double up' and some sort of suite would be cool if possible.

    (3) any suggestions for nightclubs and dayclubs? When does the pool party season kick off?

    (4) suggestions for other activities? We'd quite like to see some kind of show or sporting event...what is there going on around that time of year?

    Many thanks

Went to STK steakhouse at the Cosmo for mine and it was probably the best meal I have ever had. In my mind better than Gordon Ramsey.

We got a wrap around suite at the Cosmo and it was a great party room. You can save some money by drinking in the room. Didn't go to Marquee but I have been there a different time and it is fun. Mix lounge at Bay has an amazing view but not too many people there.

Went to OG on a Tuesday and it wasn't that great. I would recommend treasures strip club.

Then did a little gambling at the Wynn after. I had a blast but you do what you want.

I have heard the machine gun experience and the racing thing where you can drive lambos is very good.

Going to be a good time for that bachelor party ... your questions in order:

    (1) and (2) at $150 per person per night, that means $300-$450 or $600 per room per night, depending on how many you want in a room. You can do some seriously fun things that way. Depending on what weekend you come in, you ought to be able to get a suite/larger room at Aria/Bellagio/Cosmo. For bachelor parties, I find a central location great, with Aria and Bellagio my current favorites.

    (3) Pool season is mid-March usually. But the weather can be a bit hit-or-miss right at the opening. Later March or into April will be better for that. If you're at Aria/Bellagio, you can get to any of those central night clubs at those properties, Caesars, and Wynn/Encore aren't far away, nor are Palazzo/Venetian.

    (4) Mid-March will be NCAA March Madness, which is one of the most fun things to see in Vegas, although it's pretty crazy and expensive. Other than that, a pretty quiet time for major sports. Don't know if there are any fight nights scheduled around then yet.

    Just enjoy and have fun.

I haven't been to vegas yet but just from doing research i would check out the convention calendar for those months. We are going April 13-21 because there isn't a lot going on at that time but March has some huge conventions which drives up the prices plus it's not that warm yet.

If you put 4 to a room you could get some seriously nice suites at any of the top hotels for the money you have to spend. Most ppl that i have heard of going for bachelor parties will do that as they are comfortable with themselves and not afraid to share a bed with a guy, they are clothed anyway, but you may be able to find a 2 bedroom suite for decent price.

Do your research and shop around, both for best price but also for what to do/where to go. This site is awesome for a lot of info but there are other vegas sites that have convention calendars etc.

Well, if it were me, I'd book all 12 guys into their own rooms at Fremont or 4-Queens...use the money you save on room costs to hire a stretch limo for your travels to/from the strip and to clubs, restaurants, etc...
    (12x$40 = $480/night, versus 12x$150 = $1800/night)

That leaves over $1300 a day for very-nice in-town travel and fun - and each guy has their own room...and just as importantly, their own bathroom!

    Have fun!

I am English and had my stag and wedding in vegas last year. I'll give you my opinion based on my experiences.

13 of us got a Cabana at Wet Republic pool party at the MGM for my stag it was amazing. The Cabanas are 'free' but you have to promise to spend a few grand on drinks and food (if you dont they bill your credit card).
It sounds expensive but when you break it down between 13 people its not that bad. We ended up doubling the cost what the host told us we had to spend. 100% recommend a pool party mate. do it!

We never bothered with a nightclub, although I've been to a few on other trips. Biggest tip there would be to contact a host in advance to get you on the guestlist, also in my opinion, if you're not gonna get bottle service then you'd have a way better time just pub crawling down the strip.

I wouldnt stay on Fremont, stay on the strip. most of the stuff you'll be doing will be on the strip and it will be a pain in the arse to get back to Fremont whenever you need to go to your room. Planet Hollywood would be ideal for a group of English lads on a stag. also would recommend MGM or NYNY. Stay clear of Stratosphere or circus circus. The money you save on the room will be wasted on taxis.

    Cheers

I've been to a lot of bachelor parties in Vegas and have organized a couple of them myself. I think a great room for bachelor parties is the Marquee Suite at MGM and it fits within your budget. Plus MGM is a great casino for a bachelor party group. The suite is large and while there may be larger suites the way this is laid out makes it really good for a large group of people to hang out and party, especially if you're hiring strippers for a private party. Its because it has one massively large room with 2 bedrooms (1 at each end). The main room has a bar and kitchenette area along with lots of seating and lots of space. You can easily have all 12 of you plus more pre-party, post-party, and just party there and have it as a meeting place.

For strip clubs just call ahead and they'll send limos to pick you up and while I was told we would need to do bottle service to reserve tables for a large group that was never the case when I called them up (places like Sapphire) and told them we have a bunch of guys. They'd reserve a good area for us and just know that a bunch of guys will probably drop a lot of cash. Its a lot easier than reserving things beforehand since your plans can change.

For dinner its nice having at least one big group dinner and a lot of restaurants have private dining rooms you can reserve. They have prix fixe menus you can choose from and it makes it easy since its just a fixed price per person.

For clubs you should obviously arrange the tables beforehand but one piece of advice is not to book transportation beforehand. I was always reluctant to do that because people may be all over the place at the time you want to go to the club and every single time we've needed to get a large group somewhere we've just gone right up to the valet and they've called a stretch SUV limo that showed up in minutes and the cost was hardly anything. Like $5 per person and they could easily fit over 10 guys inside. I've always thought that was so funny how they could call these SUV limos to show up in a moments notice.

Jonners, something else to be aware of, you haven't stated what age range you and your group are in, but if you under 30 then expect to be ID'd everywhere, that means casino, bars, clubs etc.

Also, be prepared for some places not to accept UK drivers license as valid ID. If you don't mind carrying your passport around with you then that's the best thing to do.

I would suggest doing one of the rooftop bars one night, if you and your group haven't been to Vegas before then this will really blow you away (not literally, although it can get windy up there). Have a look at Voodoo, Ghost Bar, Foundation Room.

    Have a good trip

As to dates, pull up the room rate calendar for the entire month at a few hotels. You can easily see rates move from $79 a night to $400 a night at the same hotel... all tied to dates.

March Madness is the big college basketball thing - on TV. Vegas is busy and rates go skyhigh.

Meals? Sure you can get the best steakhouse and spend $100 each in a hurry, or do lots of other things for way less.

As to hotel? Scan down through the postings. You will find this question asked often and the resulting mix of answers.

There's some sreious money to play with for the rooms. Let' say 10 total for this case. $150 per x 10 peeps is $1500/night x 4 nights = $6000 available for rooms or $600 per person.

Central location just to give you a few ideas and I did April 17-21 since it will be warmer with some pools open. Plus March during March Madness is sometimes more costly. I'm not adding tax or $25 per day resort fee on the number.

Aria Deluxe Queen Room w/2 queen beds $195/night. City view same set up $220/night. 5 rooms x $220 x 4 nights $4400 total.

Every guy does Vdara Deluxe Suite. This is a non gaming hotel&spa in City Center (Aria, Vdara, Cosmo). 1 king bed, all suites for each guy. 4 night stay is $492 per person total for their own separate suite. So there is no coordinating needed if random hook ups occur while in Vegas.

MGM Stay Well Grand Queen with 2 queen beds $612 total for 4 nights. Times 5 rooms $3060 total. A little down the strip, not centrally located but they have a tram to get to the central part of the strip. Or...petite King each guy again gets his own room 4 nights for $464 total.

Caesars Palace Augustus Tower 2 Deluxe Queen beds in each room $846 for the 4 nights x 5 rooms $4230 total.

Cosmopolitan Terrace Studio 2 queen beds for 4 nights totals $1160. 5 rooms at that price is $5800 which is your high end unless you put 3 in a room.

Planet Hollywood 2 queen beds in the Hollywood hip room $425 for the 4 nights x 5 rooms $2125 is the total.

Personally have not done Cosmo or Caesars but have stayed in the others. If you want to really just get a room to crash in that is centrally located and save more money you can look at Harrah's, just did my bach party there in July or Flamingo also, never stayed there.

    Hope this helps.

I would check out the Elara. We stayed there on a guys trip last year and it was pretty sweet. Just checking around, a 2BR suite starts at $409 midweek. Its not a gaming hotel but its connected to PH through the mall which is a bit of a walk but not to bad.

We had the 1BR suite and it slept 4 of us easy, I think we paind like $119 a night for it.

We will be at Rio in a couple weeks. Is the sun through wednesday special mentioned available to all? Thought we might stop in for a while but was unaware of the special.

    Thanks,
