The gf and I will be Diamond members (CET) next time were in Vegas... What are some of the good ones to hit...and at what specific time?
In Paris there is a nice one. Big stiff drinks if that's what you're looking for, and some hot food. Very comfortable, with a nice atmosphere.
ceasars has the best one in my opinion but it can get crowded especially at dinner time. paris has a good one too.
We like the Diamond Lounge at Caesar's the best in Vegas. The staff there is terrific - they will remember what you drink and food is good. Hot food is only for 2 hours - I think it was 4Pm to 6PM. Paris is also pretty good and the Flamingo wasn't bad.
Paris is great - right off the casino floor. Even better if you can grab one of the 6-7 bar seats. Caesars is probably the nicest, decor wise. Staff is great. Quite a walk from casino in base of Augustus tower. Harrahs is a bit dark inside. If you prefer bar seats, this is the place. Probably 20 seats. Robert the bartender is friendly, but thinks he knows EVERYTHING. Flamingo is strange. No bar...they bring you drinks. PH - way out of the way. Cold.
We actually like PH because it's never crowded and they all have pretty much the same stuff. Caesar's is always packed when they bring the food out.
I agree with the other posters. Only the last time we were in Caesars, (3 or 4 years ago) they didn't have a bar area. Has that changed? It was nice but something about it. I thought Paris was nice and Harrahs very good. If it is your drink, Harrahs makes the best mudslide out of all the Diamond Lounges.
We're just interested in the finger foods, really...as we can get cocktails on the casino floor, haha. So, 4-6pm is the time to hit them huh? I think we'll be staying at Rio...but maybe PHo or Paris...
there nothing to get excited about , you get chicken wings and one other then some chips and cookies and some veggies. i used to go there just for the free internet
My experience is at least three years old, but I always rather liked the Diamond Lounge at Rio. Easy access via private elevator at back of high limit slot area. Not too crowded. Attentive wait staff. Finger foods in the evening and some chips and dips during the day. In the secondary room, there was a big-screen TV that was always tuned to sports. I do not recall it having a separate bar area, but the serving staff was prompt with drinks, at least back then. For what it's worth, I've been in the Diamond Lounges at Caesars, Paris, PH and Harrah's as well, and personally preferred the one at Rio because of the smaller crowds. If you do end up staying there, be sure to check it out and let us know what you think.
Drinks in lounge are often better quality, and WAY faster, and of course, way less expensive (not playing).
Caesars is the best. Lot's of room and feels nicer than the others. Paris is okay. The only unique thing about that room is that the hot appetizers are out until 6:30 vs 6:00 pm everywhere else. I haven't been to the Rio in a long time but it is the only lounge with windows and a view of the pool. Harrahs is a little more chill and would be better if you wanted to "hang at a bar" due to the many seats available. Although I like the Flamingo lounge, I cannot tell you why other than the staff. Nothing stands out. I hat the PH lounge. BOOOOORRRRINNNNGGG. Not enough TV's. Out of the way and just dull.
Our experience is - unless you are drinking beer or wine, the drinks in the Diamond Lounges are MUCH better. They usually have really good bartenders...
Yes it has a bar, I was just there a little over a month ago and its right in front of you when you enter. Its not huge, maybe around 6 to 8 stools. They also have a small (very small) lounge seating area just for Seven Stars. I didn't think the PH one was out of the way. Its probably less of a hike from the casino floor than the Caesars one is from their floor. The food there was much more limited than Caesars though and the atmosphere was less lively...which might be a good thing though depending on what you're looking for. Drink service was very fast with nice strong cocktails. They also had a couple of PCs you could use along with free printer use. It's not just limited to web stuff, they even have office software like Excel and Word on them which I was able to use and print from.
Beer is beer. But, the wine that they serve on the floor is often terrible. Surely not "worthy" of cork sniffing in the DL, it is way better.
Caesars has always been my favourite. I like the atmosphere. The hot appies have improved which mean the crowds are larger. Sometimes there is a wait. Although I rarely go to the Rio, I do like their lounge. It is pleasant to sit back and look at the pool area. Most of the DLs have wifi now. Maybe not PH. Harrah's is really iffy. Again except PH, they all have a couple of computer terminals. Really old and grungy. Hmm, not sure about Rio. If you want a nice mixed drink, the DL is the place for it. Don't forget they open at noon on Friday and Sat.
