Today I got an email from Treasure Island for 2 weeknights with 65$ slot play. When I was out there I ran my card up to 100 points to get a free spin for slot play then we ran the wifes card up to 100 points for slot play. I think that was all we really played there. We might have played 1 other slot there it was a fishing game down some stairs and to the left. Thats all I can remember. Cant remember if that was treasure island or not. I got the offer but she did not. I guess I do not know why she wouldnt get the same offer because we ran both cards up to 100 and quit.

My cousin wants to go to vegas the same time I am and I was just going to give him the comped rooms I have but what do I have to do to make that work? I know I have to make the reservations and I have to be their at check in, but do I also have to be there when he checks out?

No you don't have to be there at checkout. Just have your friend do the automated checkout or don't even do it at all. The latter is what I have done many times. DO add one of their names to the reservation at check-in though. I also suggest having them use their credit card for charges, not yours. Unless you REALLY trust them.

Long way around, but the answer is.

You (or at least your ID and credit card) has to be there to check in. You can then give the keys to anyone you trust. You can also add his name to the checkin so that he can get a key, or charge things to the room.

As to checkout. NOBODY has to check out. You just leave. If he did need to go the desk, they rarely (never?) check ID.

As to getting the comp - they are hoping you will come back and play even more. And your wife not getting one. Maybe less bucks, or as some companies, they only do one offer per mailing address.

So if I book it and my cousin does not go I'm really not out anything I'm just gaining 65$ in slot play right? It says "resort fee optional (That's a $28 savings.)". I get 15$ for a no stay free play. So could I just have to book the room and go check in and then I can stay someplace else or is that frowned upon?
I really want to see what their rooms and the view looks like from their rooms. I have only stayed in the Wynn on my 1 visit so seeing other hotels would be nice for future visits.

Yep. I've double booked and even triple booked many times to use free play, slot tournaments, dining or show offers etc.

How would anyone know WHERE you actually stayed?

They don't care - well, they probably do care, but...

Yeah I guess thats true. I guess I was thinking when they go in to clean the rooms in the mornings and they didnt have to do anything they would know you only booked the rooms for the slot play. But if we play at the casino some I dont think it should matter. I just dont want to get any surprise charges on the debit card.

Mess up the room and put up do not disturb sign. Actually the maids will be happier if you don't mess up the room.

Not messing up the room proves nothing. Actual slot play with card is the only way they know, or do not know.

I double booked a few weeks ago. Actually stayed at Cosmo and booked TI for the slot comp. I checked in, played a few hours, went to the room for a half hour nap, left a few bucks for the maid, and never went back.
