I'm coming from the UK for five nights with a couple of male friends (so it's basically just a drinking excursion and a bit of lads time away from the women). What's the best weekend in February / March?

Are you really a wigwam salesman from Manchester UK?

If yes, that's kinda cool. I freaking LOVE wigwam socks.

The 1st weekend of the NCAA basketball tourney brings a nice crowd and most casinos have viewing party rooms that are a lot of fun!!

Opening weekend of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament is March 20-23, 2014. Room prices usually increase significantly for that week. Book your rooms early to lock in the best rates.

    Have a great trip!

All weekends are great. I would pick the weekend with the best airfare and best room rates. Check the MONTHLY rate calendar for a few hotels to get a good idea.

(p.s. - Go both months is my choice!)

I generally attend a trade show in LV the last week of Feb. or first week of March. I enjoy the temps then, 65-70 or low 70's. That is a pleasant break from the harsh New England winter. I have also gone the last week of april a couple of times and didn't enjoy the temps in the 90's. If weather is a factor, consider average temps. If weather is not a factor, then check airfare and hotel average prices for your best deals. It is good that you have flexibility; that generally translates into savings.

On weather it depends a little on what time of day matters most to you.

While I don't want it to be 90s all the time, I will take 90s when it means it will be high 60s at 1am-3am. I simply want it to be warm enough that I don't need to bring along a jacket to walk outside at night. This ends up being late March and April. Feb/early March I think you still have a decent shot at it being low 50s in the evening.

Funny, a couple of years ago I asked him the same question because we have the wigwam factory about 30 miles from our house. AND...they have an outlet store!

The temps those two months are awesome, I went in April one time and the highest it got was 88 and the rest of the week it was 60s during the day, so the weather will be nice either month I'd check and see which weeks are cheapest rate wise and go that week which is cheapest.

Cool - thanks people. I thought there might be some big unmissable event on that I should book for but it looks like cheapest will win the day (cheap from the UK being around $1,500 minimum for 5 days). Been for a week every other time and it's a couple of days too long.

Weather-wise, either month is a great month to go.

In February this year I noticed things were slower. Less people. We had more open spots at player tables, etc. and dinner reservation times were more plentiful. We got a beautiful room and were comped a lot more too.

In May of this year I noticed things were getting busier and we had less comps. Any open dinner reservations were late in the evening. Our room was standard and no upgrades available.

That's just my 2 cents - who really knows if it was the time of year or something else going on. I enjoyed the February trip much more.

Been several times end of march first of April. For me the weather is great. Warm enough for shorts round the clock but not too hot. It seems I caught final four, st patties, and spring break in one trip. The strip was a mad house. Been once in feb. A little chilly for my liking. Jacket or sweater every day.
