Just one person? Shuttle bus will be cheapest. $8.50 + tip and you'll probably be one of the first ones dropped off.
2-3 people, cab would be the way to go. If they don't tunnel you, probably $12-15 I'd guess

Idk how much your trying to save, but you could take the WAX (Westcliff Airport Express public trans bus) and hop off at the Trop exit (2nd stop I think...drops you right in front of the Trop) and your basically there. It's real fast and real cheap ($2).

Actually, since the question was specifically about the Excalibur there is a special opportunity for that particular intersection. RTC operates a bus that will get you from the airport to Trop & Las Vegas Blvd in just 10 minuted for $2. Coming from the airport, it will drop you off on the north side of the intersection in front of NYNY.

The bus is marked WAX (Westcliff Airport Express). Pick it up on the zero level (departure level) at Terminal 1. Here's the schedule.

That bus is also a terrific way for people at the Strip to get to the Premium Outlet Mall near Charleston. It picks you up at Trop & Las Vegas Blvd then takes the freeway straight to the mall in just 9 minutes. The same bus route takes you back to the Strip. I ride $2, 2-hour pass $3, or 24-hour pass $5.
