Can someone remind me...if we re-qualified for Pearl this past May, those TCs don't vanish and reset to 0 on Oct. 1st this year do they? My husband is going Sept 1 and with his play added to what our balance is now, I'm shooting to hit gold when I play in Oct. but I'm not going until Oct 10. I'd hate to come so close and lose all of them!

Yes, they reset to 0 on October 1st.

    Or right from their website:

When do my Tier Credits expire?
Tier credits expire October 1 each year.

Ugh that stinks. I hate that new system. Thx Auggie I could've looked it up but I was already surfing the message board and the question just popped in my head so I took the lazy way out. :)

The good thing, though, is that if you have a good run and quality for Gold on your Oct. 10 trip, then you'll maintain that status through October 2015, since the tier benefit is for a minimum of 12 months. That's right, isn't it?

IF they book enough in October, after starting at ZERO, then yes. And, just to clarify, if they reached Gold on Oct 10th, they would have it for all the that year which goes from Oct 2013 to Oct 2014. And all of the next year. So, in this case, almost 24 months.

But, getting to Gold in one trip is a big "if".

Very true. A great way to do it is if you go with a group and max out the rooms you can book on your own Mlife account :)

Another question, I am heading there early OCT. If I book show ticket now, does the TC add up for this year or the new mlife year when I actually go and see the show?

somebody asked a similar question a few weeks ago.

Seems that once they take your money and link your card to it, it will hit within a few days.

I think you are right with show tickets and stuff that cannot be cancelled or returned. But with hotel reservations (the deposit) I don't think this is how it would work because someone could book an expensive room prior to Oct 1, get the TCs for the deposit, and then cancel after Oct 1 and get the deposit refunded...

Now it could be that if the reservation is cancelled they back track and reduce your tier if needed and, if you havent already picked up the higher tier card, there would be no issues.

Have not had a trip since Labor Day weekend 2012. My points went from ~800K to -0- on October 1st of 2012, yet I've been Platinum ever since. I considered a couple of summer trips this year, but knowing that 10/1/13 was on the horizon caused me to resist the temptation. Thus my return trip will be next month (for 5 nights). IF I play my cards right (and don't go into a downward spiral) I'm shooting for Platinum.

    Time will tell!!

What is the point per dollar spent on things like rooms, show tickets, etc?

So if I pony up $3,000 for a suite for my next stay, that earns 75,000 TC's ?

    That's a lot of TC's !

I need 46,000 to hit NOIR again... assuming it is at a million, and the invite thing is just smoke and mirrors and in reality is almost automatic....hmmmmm

Hmmm, I need 66,000 to hit one million but figured that Noir would be out of reach for me now, so was not planning a September trip. Nostress, do you have any inside knowledge that the invite thing is a cover story? Or is that just your hunch?

It's be nice if you could just order an Aria mattress (if they gave credit for those), and PRESTO!! Not to mention you'd have a very comfortable mattress! :D

Heck.. my wife has been asking for one of those - it'd be great to kill two birds with one stone!!
