Wondering which casinos open up conference rooms or other large areas for NFL Sundays WITHOUT charging a huge cover or F&B minimum (Palazzo, Sporting House). Does The STRAT charge a cover?

I do not expect to discover anything like the NCAA Tournament deal I found at the Flamingo in '07 - $50 entry, OPEN BAR, private betting stations, free pretzels & chips. But something remotely close to that combination of price point & amenities would be excellent.

Strat and LVH both have free viewing parties for NFL Sunday, first come first served for seating. Strat is tiered table seating. LVH is theater seating. Both have cheap beer and food options. I have heard positive reviews from both. If you search previous threads you should be able to find some good comments/reviews.

If you have an MLife card you can try to reserve a Skybox at the MGMGrand sports book

Have you had success with this? From what I understand, only the highest of the high rollers are allowed in the Skybox. Is my assumption incorrect?

I have never asked to go up there, simply because I didn't think my level of bets would qualify. I guess you never know until you ask.

Only been to the Strat once and it was pretty good. Park in the ground lot on the north side of the casino. It's Philadelphia Ave and ends in the lot. This lot is for HR Dept parking but they are closed on Sundays.

Get there early for a table in the middle of the Show Room because the giant TV's line 3 walls. Free wifi and food deals. Two Black Jack tables with sexy dealers. Two betting windows.

The D is supposed to open their 12th floor Ballroom for football so I'm going to be there Week 1. With the wifi included in the new "resort fee" I'm hoping it will spill into the Ballroom.

Do you need a reservation for anywhere in the Sporting House, or just downstairs? Last year we sat upstairs at the bar - just walked in at 9 AM or so & the place was empty. Hoping to do the same this year.

I'm 100% certain the bar is open seating anytime. During march madness last year they had a few other extra tables set up strait ahead when you go up the stairs. I don't know if those were open or not. I do know the bar, anything around that circle, and anything in those 2 alcoves were open though. I doubt NFL games would change this.

for the MGM skybox I think you need to be at least a Noir level player to get up there. If you have a host, ask him for the parameters of getting a seat up there. It is limited seating, so there is a tiered totem pole where the highest players get seats first, and then on down the line.

I just spoke recently (last week) with a host who informed me that they no longer take reservations. If you're there, and no one is using them on the day of, they might let you use it.
