I find myself 3 weeks away from an upcoming trip to Vegas. It will be probably my 10th trip, however first time staying a night downtown at MSS. I booked this trip ~ 7 months ago. Weird thing is: I don't feel too excited for it... Usually I am just gitty as hell with excitement, trying to plan what I want to do, ect, but this trip seems different. Nothing has really changed from previous trips. I am sure I will jump right into the swing of things when I get to Vegas....but right now I'm not terribly excited...

Has anyone else ever experienced this problem????

How to I get myself pumped up in 3 weeks????

Sorry, I've never had this problem. From the moment I book it, until the minute I leave, I'm excited.

I booked my trip to Vegas, a trip to Niagara Falls, and a Western Carribean cruise all around the same time. I had never been to Niagara Falls, or Belize/Honduras/Mexico, but the trip to Vegas is the only one I've really been excited about. I was just there less than 6 months ago, too! I don't have to do anything to get excited about going to Vegas... It comes naturally.

I do practice a lot of different video poker games leading up to a trip, as well as obsessively check this board and one other. That's a side effect of the excitement, though.

I had this problem my last trip in March. I had just returned the week before from a Mission trip helping the poor and 5 days later heading to Vegas. Once in Vegas and a couple cocktails all thoughts of not spending freely disappeared.
As far as getting pumped I read anything and everything I can find on Vegas, watch movies based in Vegas and check Airline, car rental, hotels for any last minute savings/changes.
    Have a great trip !

I watch slot videos on YouTube and think about how cool it would be to hit a big one.

I constantly stay excited about Vegas!!! Going in 2 weeks for the 4th trip out of 6 this year and I feel like this one is never going to get here! Lots of playing MyVegas, reading on this board, and "practicing" on SHFL!

That's not a bad Idea. I know once I get there the rush will overtake me & I will let loose. Watching the slots online is a great idea.

Usually I don't like to play to much practice vp before a trip, bc if I get a royal on practice somehow my brain thinks it won't happen in real life then....

This has happened to me the last 2 trips. Before I would get more excited than a 10 year old waiting for Christmas. Now the wait is no big deal and the day I leave I'm like oh sweet, I get to go to Vegas today.

But once I step off the plane it all hits and I'm giddy like a little school girl.

I research the heck out of a trip. Usually for months. At least a part of every day is here and other Vegas related websites mostly just browsing but sometimes that leaves me following other websites in my planning. This makes me VERY excited on a daily basis about my trip. :)

Simple. Come here every day and read posts.
I like the 'Casino Gaming' section in particular for this purpose. Always get me pumped up.

Looking for deals for food, entertainment, etc on groupon, travelzoo, goldstar, etc.
Watching Vegas movies, my favorite is still the first Hangover.

I'm always pumped up. Pretty sure my friends do not understand my vegas obsession lol. I usually just watch Vegas strip on tru tv a lot or just any vegas shows on youtube or cable. About 2 weeks out is when you really wanna start doing that though.

We usually travel to Vegas to do something else along with the gambling, and that other activity is usually what gets me going. Could be a show, could be a meet, could even be a side trip.
