    Hi,
this is my "Nice to meet you post!" My name is Bill and I am new to the site and am looking forward to meeting and talking with people into cooking and getting great deals on great eats!

I have lived here for 15 plus years and know a lot of the in's and out's of the city. Like great places to eat, shop and have fun.

Here is an example: if you have never tried Freed's Bakery, it will be a great treat for you! Like fresh seafood, better yet like it LIVE it doesn't get any fresher right!?! Then try 99 Ranch Market.

Best Vegas steak, in my humble opinion: Del Frisco's!

So tell me about you!?!

    Bill

List of Best Grocers and Fab Food to Follow

Hi Sybgal, Captainron62, Smartone and All,
Thank you for the warm welcome. It is great to be here and I am looking forward to sharing and getting to know folks!

Here is another great specialty grocer I have shopped several times.

    Cardenas
Best for Mexican foods and produce. Some of the lowest prices on produce in town. They have their own tortilla factory inside. This grocer makes several varieties of salsas, fresh foods, :licklips: juices like watermelon and smoothies etc and a fun little bakery. Price on their canned and packaged foods are not very competitive. It is a great place to spend a morning browsing, snacking and buying! Oh yes and they carry whole pigs for your super cook-outs.

In fact... I have a list of great grocers with a little info each. Plus I will share it with the forum when I find the right topic to put it under!

    Enjoy,
    Bill

Looking forward to your list, Bill. I live 2500 miles from Vegas, but my gf and I visit 4-5 times a year, always rent a car, and love exploring. While we will hit the International Marketplace on some of our trips, we don't often have the facilities to cook when we are there. So, mostly we explore restaurants and bars. Las Vegas has some amazing examples of both!

    Hey grocery

Glad a local us on here sharing info on the ins and outs of Vegas. Studying the Internet sites of each casino does not give the insight of Vegas. We come out there 2 to 3 times a year and learn new stuff each time. So I look forward to your posts and guidance to help make on upcoming trip better.

    Thanks and welcome aboard!

Welcome to VMB. You'll fit in very well here. Thanks for the heads us on Freed's. Read about it but never ventured over there. Maybe in September. Never heard of or read about 99 Ranch Market. Will do some reconnaissance and try to get there in Sep.
