Got a call yesterday from a CET host. It was a Vegas number, but no idea if she is based out of there. I only had a minute to talk, but she introduced herself and said she would send me an email.

In the past, I have usually low rolled at CET properties. Lifetime loser at their casinos, but I have probably lost less than $10k there over the past seven years. I've stayed at some of their hotels, but never been overly impressed. They would aspects I liked, but on the whole, I enjoy MGM and Wynn more.

This past May, I decided to set up a credit line at CP, give them some of my larger play, and see what happens. So I played at CP for probably a total of three hours with, I would estimate, an average bet of $350 per hand. Walked away a winner with over $10k of CP's money. Haven't been back since (except for some low rolling at one of their tunica properties).

Does anyone have any experience with these CET hosts contacting them. She told me corporate had assigned me a host and that she could assist me with any reservations in the future. I mentioned on the phone that I had not had the best experience in the standard rooms at CET hotels and it would be hard to pry me away from the competition because they comp me very nice suites (obviously, I am hoping to get the gaming companies to compete for my play with better offers!). She suggested, although did not promise, that she could comp me a nice suite at CP if I wanted to come back. Couldn't talk any longer, but told her I would look forward to her email.

Got the email last evening. It was pretty standard. So I replied with a narrative of my gaming history, how I usually play bigger at MGM and Wynn properties because they give me very good comps, told her what they give me, and said that if CET can offer something comparable I would consider staying there sometime soon.

Since I have zero experience with CET hosts, I wanted to get opinions on whether I handled that right? Or any opinions on how CET hosts operate and if it is worth my time to try and develop a relationship with them (I'm almost exclusively a table games player and sports bettor). I really am happy with MGM and Wynn because they comp me everything I want (which, usually, is not much more than a room, food, and spa) so I don't have a lot of motivation to send my play elsewhere. And if I do, recently I have been thinking about sending more of my play to Cosmo because they have been wooing me for a few months now and promising me things comparable to MGM (Venetian has tried to woo me since last year as well, but won't promise me anything more than a suite upfront, so I've never really had an incentive to try them much). So its no great loss to me if CET never comes around and offers much (I can just hit and run them in the future instead, bwahahahaha :evillaugh). But any thoughts on this subject are greatly appreciated

This is common. You will see others have asked this and dealt with them in the past. They are called hosts, but I think they basically work the phones. I have been dealing with one for a few years. Not as helpful as hosts at MGM, but they do help.

They can usually get you a better room (based on play of course), and can get any promo offers tied to your account. Our promo offers for Vegas are way less than other CET places.

Do not expect anything extra without using your RC's to pay for it though, based on my experience.

I guess I've been assigned one of those CET marketing representatives also; it's very hard to tell exactly how many layers there are and whether the person you've been assigned has any leeway.

I think because she contacted you first, and given the play you described, I wouldn't go into any great detail about your playing habits. I think your approach was OK, and you'll just have to see what she says, but if you didn't give her anything specific to shoot for (like rough dates), I'm not sure what she'll say other than trying to keep the door open for you to contact her again in advance of a trip.

Let's us know what she says.

That is pretty much what I assumed. But since my experiences with CET marketing is so limited, I thought I would get some helpful insight from others. Thanks

She could be a real host, not necessarily the type of marketer nostresshere is referring to. I play a lot less than you do and I was at PH a few weeks ago and a host came over and introduced herself to me in the high limit room. Just me too, it wasn't like she was in there making rounds. Her title was Executive Casino Host and while it was a PH business card she said she can arrange things for any CET property. She was smoking hot too, Filipino I think. She hung out in the pit for a while, everyone who worked there seemed to know her and the PB kept telling me she was good and she'd take care of me (but I already had a host). Anyway point being, I don't think she was just a low-level marketing person and given your play is way higher than mine yours probably isn't either.

If I were you I'd give CET some of my play in a heartbeat. At the higher limits the gaming is all the same and Caesars itself is a nice property. Years ago I stayed in a regular Augustus (or Octavius?) tower room and it was probably one of the best standard rooms in Vegas I've stayed in. With CET you'll have a lot more options of restaurants and facilities to use all over Vegas and the country. Plus given your play you could probably make Seven Stars and that carries some real benefits.

Main thing is you don't lose anything. Its not like you're a marginal player who might lose favor from MGM or Wynn if you play there less. You'll still get treated well everywhere, just with more options if you give some play to Caesars.

i got the same thing there out of vegas it was a 702 area code.
i never bothered using the person as i got all the free rooms i needed and i could get stuff taken off the backend at the end of the trip so this way i played what i want when i wanted and didnt have anyone looking over my shoulder.
if you dont go alot im sure thehy can set up some show tickets or some room upgrades.i just pased as i allready got that stuff.

but you have nothing to loose if you deal with them

The person was most likely a real host from one of the Vegas properties.

If you are considering seriously about giving CET some play, then I say definitely start cultivating a relationship with a host. Your gaming experience will be much better, as your other host experiences from Wynn and MGM can attest.

Obviously, being that your play history is limited, while the host wants your play, there will be some limits or hesitation in what she can offer you. However, once you have a good history and a good relationship with a host, you will get good treatment.

Aside from that, while CET may lack in show offerings, like UFC and boxing matches, major concerts at MGM or Mandalay Bay, their other promotional items are more enticing in my book: gas gift cards, Macy's gift cards, Sears gift cards, free play, etc. Depending on your level of play, these offerings can be a fair amount.

if she said she is a host assigned to you then she is a host not there normal marketing people. cet hosts can book you for any property and they dont care where you play. you can stay at ceasars and play at pho and it makes no difference to them so they are better than mgm hosts in that way. just call her to arrange something for you and enjoy. your comps will be based on your gambling not what you say you will gamble.

Perhaps. But I am willing to guess that you give CET a lot more hours of play than I do

She did not use the word host. I did and she did not correct me. The signature on her email is just her name followed by Caesars Entertainment. No title listed

I got a call from one of those "hosts" a couple of nights ago. The caller ID showed it came from PHo, but he said he deals with all CET properties. I guess I got on his radar because I'm Diamond. He offered me free show tickets and a free room in AC (that's my "home" casino base). The funny thing is that I could have done the same thing myself through the CET web site. He was unable to give me anything that I couldn't get myself.
