    Hi all

i am coming to Vegas in August, i would like to catch a few shows while im there and was curious as to how you go about pre booking tickets etc.

I live in the UK and i might want to say book to see Celine Dion etc now before it sells out.

What is the best way to do this? is there a good site for this? and how do you go about picking the tickets up etc?

Also if i want to book a show when i am in vegas is it best to go to one of the tix4shows booths?

    Sorry for such basic questions

    Thanks

    Chris

You can go online to get tickets to just any show you feel might sell out and/or you really want to see. There are links from every casino and showroom - often to Ticketmaster.

If you wait and get tickets when you are here - those boothes might help. Might not. The bigger shows like Celine are rarely available in the discount places.

Many thanks for your reply, so tickets will be sent to my house?

Does pen and teller usually sell out? Or could I pick them up at the booths?

Usually when you order in advance and depending on the show, you'll have different options for your tickets (and some will have difference "convenience" charges) They could be mailed to you, "will call" (you pick up at the box office) or even print at home. I haven't bought Celine tickets so I don't know. I'm not sure they would mail to the UK - you might have to pick them up at the box office.

You can call the Box Office and ask about seats/availability - one might hope (Though this is CET...) that the box office might be more knowledgeable about the show & the theater, but sadly that's not always the case....

There is no reason to have them mailed to you. Almost all ticket places now will email them and you can print them out.

Yes Celine tickets can be printed out or just picked up at will call before the show (better option in my opinion). You'll be hard pressed to find discount tickets to Celine. The official website links to AXS who sells the tickets. Some other sites sell them too but I didn't notice any real discount so you're better off buying through the official seller. You can gamble and see if you can buy discount ones at tix4tonight when you get there but it's unlikely. However they will probably still sell them at normal price at the box office on the day of. We met couples at the show who did just that.

If you have a host relationship at a CET casino you can ask them to release tickets from the casino's block. Even if he can't comp them for you he can sell them to you at the normal face price and they'll likely be better seats than you can find online, plus you save on the bullshit AXS/Ticketmaster fees. That's what I did and paid with reward credits.

i agree you wont find celine dionn tickets at tix4tnite so if you want to find a discount you can look on craigslist, people sell tickets that they dont want on there but dont expect any big discount because celine dionn is the most popular show in vegas.

Penn & Teller will not sell out most nights.

For most shows it is easy to pick up your tickets at the box office before the show, or even the day before if you are in the vicinity. The box office is usually by the theater, but not always. For example, Rio box office is near the casino entrance. They can direct you to the theater.

I detest Ticketmaster and try not to use the service if there is another way. Sometimes you get the best seating selection and avoid some of the fees by calling the box office directly. You may need to call the casino and ask for the number, and remember to calculate when they will be in. Tickets obtained this way will not be discounted unless the show is running a promotion.

Half price ticket booths carry lots of shows but August is not the best time to use them. You don't want to stand in line in the heat.

My experience with P&T tickets was back in February. I bought 2 tickets for my sis and binlaw from the Tickets4Tonight booth at Town Center for that evening. After the show, sis and binlaw said the place was half empty and the usher moved them to the front.

the usa has an excellent secure system called "will call " just have ref no + id (passport) just call to box office any time but make sure its at least one hour before show.
penn and teller are usually half price at the ticket booths and at travelzoo.
registering with tavelzoo is easy and they have a lot of offers on vegas.
also have a look at groupon.:wink2::beer::beer:
