It appears that the whole food court and the Flamingo has been shut down for sanitary violations.

I thought this was going to be the video of the managers who were storing food next to the dumpster at the Golden Corral....bummer! But good solid read/info you provided.

I’m wondering who’s idea it was to use multiple exclamation points on the “closed for business(!!!)” sign…

I didn't even know that the Flamingo had a food court. Never have really spent any time there. The ventilation system sucks. They might want to check out the Excalibur food court. It didn't look that great when we in Vegas last October. It was extremely dirty and disgusting. Although I thought I saw somewhere that they were remodeling it.

They do have one but it's nothing special. In the three times I've stayed there I just ate there for the first time on my last trip when I needed something to hold me over until dinner.

Not surprised; had a bad late dinner/early breakfast there in January. Spent the next two nights downtown, but didn't get to enjoy it much due to illness.

The one positive to come from this is I discovered the toilet paper at Golden Gate is of better quality in the casino floor restrooms. The TP in your hotel room is not as comforting.

Do you know that's the only thing I got from that sign too!? I read it thinking, hmm, they used many exclamation points as if this was a grand opening, not a health department closing.

From what I can see, the FOOD COURT was shut down, and not Flamingo Casino and/or Hotel.

    Right!!!!!????

The latest on Twitter from the Flamingo is that the food court is shut down to work on maintenance:

    Flamingo Las Vegas ‏@FlamingoVegas

We're temporarily closing our food court to perform maintenance below our hotel. You can eat here in the mean time: http://czr.bz/186ZA1u

(What else are they going to say, really?)

    Yes.
That's what ventilation systems are designed to do.

Damn, I just drunkenly ate there last week. Other than my stomach feeling bad afterwards I didn't notice anything dirty, but I was drunk.

I ate at a pizza place there one drunken night and it was fine as far as I'm concerned. I didn't get sick, it filled the void and tasted fine. Wouldn't have been terribly surprised if it was shut down for cleanliness though :p
