I've decided to drive to Vegas a day earlier and now I'm trying to find the cheapest room in Vegas. I might end up having to state in Primm @ $50 a night @ Whiskey Pete's.

Anyone know of any good deals for tonight. I really just need a room. I wont be checking in until round 10-11pm tonight.

If you are a downtown Vegas fan, you could stay at Golden Gate for $69.
    hotwire.com

El Cortez for $5 more. ecvegas.com

I'd give priceline a go and low ball a bid for any 4* on the strip.

I've also heard of people in the past who walk up and get a good rate without a reservations... then again though, not on a Saturday night though.

If you have a smartphone, download the app "Hotel Tonight".

They currently have a Best Western on Main St for $45 or you can do The Stratosphere for $100. Seems to be an expensive night.

Can you get anything comped with Players cards? I looked at Vegas.com and it does look like an expensive night.

If you have any play history in Vegas, then call up your host or casino services and see what they can do for you.

I second the hotel tonight app, plus if this is your first time using it, you get $25 credit. I just checked and Riviera is $59, minus 25, so 34 for a Saturday night not bad. If you want to do me a favor, use code "rcallender" You would get $25 off and so would I, (I know, I know, I am a dog) :D

I'm not seeing the Riviera. Is there a way for me to find it?

There are two categories for Vegas on Hotel Tonight.... Las Vegas and Las Vegas Off Strip. Check both before you book. You won't find every hotel there, they just show a few that they have arranged a discount at. They change as new deals come up and old ones sell out. The categories are not strict. I had a good experience with them on my last trip and plan to write them up soon.

LVH on Hotel Tonight is always dirt ass cheap. Seen it as low as $20. No kidding.

The cheapest room on the app was showing up as $100 on my andriod phone. I started calling around and everyone was booked off the strip: the Orleans, Missie, Cal, freelmont hotel, 4 queens, the plaza, silver sevens..... I got lucky and got the last room at the El Cortez for $83 after tax. Turns out there was a free concert on Fremont. That's might have been the reason for all the sold outs.
