    My Trip Report

    Thursday 6/20

    - 2nd annual trip with my buddy B in June. See last year report here. ~10th trip or so overall, solo trips last October and January.

    - 5 nights comped at Bally's with Sat/Sun $49 each. Awesome value during EDC week. Stayed January in south tower, this stay was 23rd floor of north tower. Room was no better or worse than south. Longer walk to strip, shorter walk to Paris tunnel/Sully's bar, less of a view, so it's a wash imo.

    - Working on filling up my 2nd frame that holds 99 casino chips (4 away from full after this trip). Hit up the Westin right behind Bally's which I didn't know had a casino.

    - Visited downtown this trip but only for an hour Wednesday afternoon to cash in $75 freeplay at MSS. I recently fell in love with STP VP and when B and I weren't at bartops, this was our crack addiction. Freeplay resulted in $100 cashout.

    - Loving sports betting more lately especially this trip. First night of trip = NBA finals game 7. Watched it at the Cosmo at a bar near the front directly across from craps table. Not sure which one it is by name, but drink service was great and I loooove the Cosmo. Broke even on 50c VP after playing 3 hours during the game, hope they send me some offers! Heat covered btw!

    - Ended the night hitting up Lavo at Palazzo after B passed out. Great pre-EDC party (Dirtybird records). Relaxed club/door, great vibe, only left when I did because I was so exhausted.

    Friday 6/21

    - Absolute favorite way to start the day, blood mary's at bartops (Sully's mostly this trip).

    - Used a Groupon for BOGO at the PHo buffet then found STP machines by their poker room. Continue running good with this beauty.

    - Continued chip collecting hunt of last few casinos in the area. Dropped B off at Rio to play deep stack tournaments then hit up the Alamo which is basically a truck stop across from the Silverton, and Hacienda near the Hoover Dam.

    - Tried the Palms $1k loss rebate promotion. $5 BP resulted in no big hits, was going to quit if I got up $500. Turned first $400 of FP into $310 using $1 BP.

    - Went to night 1 of Electric Daisy Carnival. The shuttle situation out to the speedway was TERRIBLE, with 2 hour waits at both Bellagio and Cosmo. Ended up in a limo for $60 with 9 other people which got us there in 30 minutes. After being at Ultra in Miami earlier this year and Movement in Detroit, I had seen most of the acts already that I liked on this lineup and the crowd was too much to deal with. The shuttle back was a 30 minute wait in line then a full hour to get back to Cosmo, and this was at 3:30am way before the lines got long at 5:30am when the show was over. Production was great though, with spectacular fireworks, insane stage set ups, carnival rides galore.

My buddy went to ECD and he said it was one hell of a time. It looks pretty fun but that's way to many people for me, oh and I'd probably die from an ecstasy overdose.

    Saturday 6/22

    - Woke up to a quick breakfast with B before he caught the shuttle from Bally's to Rio for the WSOP $1,500 event. Ate at Mon Ami Gabi at Paris and the salmon eggs benedict was fantastic.

    - Met up with someone from the EDC fb page who bought my shuttle+show ticket for Saturday/Sunday. Decided not to deal with the madness and focus more on gambling... the gods rewarded me handsomely..

Good start to the day, followed by this beauty with a 10x multiplier.

    Then MY 2nd ROYAL EVER!

    - B returned from the Rio busted, and we caught the Bruins/Blackhawks game over at Caeser's sportsbook bar. I thought the Bruins were a steal at +1.5. This was one of my only losing bets of the weekend, as an empty netter with 13 seconds left had them lose by 2 :(

Finished even at VP while drinking my weight in liquor thanks to hands like these.

    - Ended the night with a fun splashy 1/2 NL poker game at Bally's then tacos at the tequila bar in the back of Bally's. Played my first craps of the trip right before heading to bed as the band in the Indigo Lounge played a cover of Daft Punk's "Get Lucky". After 2 rolls I decided to max out my $200 buyin by putting $10 on the DP and laying $60, followed by the same on the DC twice. After loading the bases, the chicken feeder 7'd out and I colored up a nice winner.

    Great day!!

Damn, some nice hits there! Can't wait to hear rest of the trip, enjoying the report. Love the pics from EDC but seeing the crowds, know I can cross that off my list. lol

Wow, great hits! What casino was the Royal and Quad 10X at? But for future knowledge, most STP units have a game better than 9/6/4 DB (96.64% w/STP). (From pic details, it looks like Bally's. Sigh love the hotel, but eff their VP selection for paytables/denomination choices) But one rule that trumps all others: When it hits, it hits!

Best CET games w/STP from what I have personally seen or have read on this forum:
7/5 Bonus (98.29%): Quad, PH...nickels thru quarters. Caesars: quarters (info from here). Rio: quarters? 50c for sure (Rio data from a TR here).
9/5 DDB (98.14%): PH nickels thru quarters.

Bally's, but we played at PH too. The crazy thing is I played 7/5 BP the entire trip (that's my main game). Until your post, I didn't even notice I had been playing DB that afternoon that I hit the quad As, quad Qs and royal. That's not even a game I play, I must have been drinking enough I didn't notice the 1 coin 2 pair payout.

    Wow.

    Sunday 6/23

    - Breakfast at Hash House which was completely empty (couple miles straight north of the Rio). Fantastic service and food. Dropped B off at the Rio for the $1,000 WSOP event then hit Pahrump for some chip collecting. Kind of a waste, only 1 casino with table games when I thought there were 3.

    - Played some 1/3 NL back at the Rio and won a few hundred while watching B off and on. He was at 15k (starting stack 3k) at the end of level 4, and this was the last hand of the level.. he got all in vs poker pro Matt Affleck in the lower left. Matt had JTo, B had AJhh for top pair/flush draw on J Th 3h board. River A!

    - Back to Bally's to drop the car and let B do his thing. Lost quite a bit at VP then my mojo returned with this beauty on an 8x multiplier.

    - Played craps at Bellagio, first time playing there, great vibe and crews. Killed it on the Don'ts, up $500 or so on an ice cold table.

    - B texted me that he was at 30k, 300 people left out of 2100, 210 make the money. I cabbed from Bellagio over to Rio to rail him. This hand was memorable as with 213 people left, B raised the button, big stack in big blind 3 bet him, and B fearlessly went all in over the top on the money bubble. Big blind folded.

    - They hit the money but B ran A9s into KK a short time later to bust in 190th. Only cashed $1900 but it was a win. Finished the night grabbing celebratory drinks at Gustav's back at Paris.

    Monday 6/24

    - Woke up late, hit Bally's sports book. Game 6 of NHL Finals that night in Boston, the line is opposite as it was 2 days ago (Hawks +1.5). I put $100 on the Hawks to wrap up the series, then halfway back to the room went back and put $200 more down feeling a hunch.

    - Cabbed to Aria to watch the game. Ate at Todd English Pub, so good! Oysters and junk chip appetizers were great. B's burger was enormous. Also had my first glass of mead ever.

    - Played spin poker for a while, same concept as multi-line VP without the fun multiplier of STP.

    - Game was intense, with 2 Hawks goals in the last 2 minutes to clinch the Cup and my bets! Great payables at Aria sportsbook bartops (9/5 JOB!). Hit quads 4 times to end up a $150 winner or so at game's end. If only I had been playing BP, the 3/4 of the quads would have been premiums.

    - Trammed back to Bellagio. Bounced the idea around of a strip club, ended up just playing some STP and drinking more to end the night. Hit a couple nice hands early (quads on 10x multiplier, quad As twice) but ran ice cold the next hour to end up $300 down.

    Tuesday 6/25

    - Another road trip day for some casino chips. Hit up In & Out with B (his first time) then drove northeast to Mesquite. Went to the 3 casinos there to quickly gather my souvenir chips then back to Vegas.

    - Played the 8pm Bally's $60 poker tournament. B and I were cruising through the easy field of 20 or so people (3 made the money). I busted B in 6th place with my AJ vs his A5. I went out 5th when 99 couldn't fade A2o.

    - Cashed in my sports tickets at the Bally's book and ran into the infamous Po!! He hasn't worked Sully's in a while he said, and I told him how famous he was on this board. Got a delicious 'Povert' right before he closed up shop and also placed a juicy 12/1 bet on the Falcons to win the Superbowl. Undervalued imo.

    - Grabbed some food at the Bally's food court that had just opened that afternoon.

    - B had an early flight to catch so he called it a night. I stopped at Gustav's planning to drink 2 quick drinks and move on, and hit this in the first 5 minutes.

    - Finished the night at Caeser's at an Ultimate Texas Holdem table (my favorite table game). Pressed while winning from $15 blind/ante up to $25 then $50 each. Kept winning at the right times and finished up a few hundred.

    Wednesday 6/26

    - Woke around 11, B was long gone for the airport. My flight was at 4 so I grabbed breakfast then headed out. Touched down in Lauderdale around midnight, home at 1am, up for work at 5:30.

    - Final tally: +$1,282 in all forms of gambling, around 30 total hours playing. First winning trip in a while. Nearing diamond at CET and put in some good coin in on my MLife and Identity card, so we'll see what offers from the latter two may come.

    THE END

To be continued in October (solo trip 10/31-11/3).

Looks like a trip is even shaping up for August 8-11 when a friend who has been overseas will be visiting. Until then, cheers!

Nice hits! Quads w/10X is always good; twice in one trip is amazing. I have only done that once, also with quad 8s, at what is now known as "The Quad". lol

Did you heard about the poker payoff at CET Properties June 5(?).
I was in town, but was not playing
CET has this poker room bonus for ALL CET properties. Anyone that gets bad beat with a quad 8's or better wins $800,000. Winner gets $500,000. It happened when 4K lost to 4A. The good news is everyone playing at the time in ALL LV CET casinos got $6,000. It happened at 7am Wed.
Dam, I never play that early:cry:
