Hi, all. Does anyone know if the CET properties, and specifically Paris, have free WiFi areas anywhere? I hate to be on my G4 and paying those fees everywhere we go. I'm taking the iPad, too, and could easily trek downstairs in the morning for a coffee and bring it with me and connect; I hate to pay for the service since I'll probably only be on the iPad for 10-15 minutes a day. In the past, I've paid, but I'm just not going to do it anymore (we paid at Caesars in December, and we had very spotty service -- not worth the $$, IMO).

Now with having to pay the resort fee, you get free wi-fi, but I think only for one device.

I think my resort fee is waived. Do I have to pay for WiFi in that case? And is the WiFi open anywhere on the properties, say in the coffee shops or lobby areas?

If you go to the message board category Vegas for the Frugal (not cheap), there is a sticky post at the top where folks list the free wi-fi spots.

The little cafe/bakery at Paris used to have free wifi, not sure if it still does.

If your resort fee is waived, you do not get free wifi or gym access.

When we were in LV in April, the clerk in the Diamond check in said if you were Diamond, the fee is waived & you still get the benefits.....

Yes, the pastry shop at Paris had free WiFi - saw many using it there & in the Diamond lounge....it appeared that folks were able to get it there too...although I did not try.

I stayed at Bally's over Memorial Weekend and noticed the new poker room now has free wi-fi. The poker room is located near the front of the casino, near the Nosh snack bar and Keno. The wi-fi signal extended beyond the poker room itself, where I had a coffee in the adjacent Keno area and received the wi-fi just fine. You'll just need to find the password code for the wi-fi (I wish I remember edit), but you should get by asking in the poker room. Just give off the impression that you're waiting to play.

Yup, and this is such a big load of crap. I had my first stay at a Vegas CET property in several years last week and this pissed me off to no end. I'm Diamond and came in on a comped suite and just assumed when they said the resort fee was "waived" that it meant the fee was actually WAIVED, not just made optional. We were told wifi would be $14 per day per device I think. It wasn't even the money, it was the principle of the whole thing and I was pissed off enough to complain to a manager about it while I was checking out. Its inappropriately marketed as a "waived" fee when there is nothing waived about it.

MGM gives you free wifi on any number of devices, anywhere on the property. I was one floor under the Sky Lofts so I even got a nice strong connection to their wifi and yes.....it did feel like some fancier internet :)

Also, the McDonalds by the Super Walgreens on Harmon has free Wifi. Not sure if you can get it in the Courtyard area outside. You may want to look at signing up for mobile hotspot for your G4, then using the hotspot to drive the iPad. Then cancel the hotspot.

That's right, its technically only waived for 7 Stars but they list it as waived for Platinum and Diamond as well.....its not, it's just optional which is a different thing. The rep at the Diamond check-in I spoke to agreed and said they need to change the language....and yeah I know he was probably just saying that to get rid of me...

Also there is only free internet on the computers in the diamond lounges, not free wifi. And Diamond lounges are only open from 4pm-9pm on weekdays.

If they want to charge for wifi that is their business, I think its ghetto to do that in this day and age but whatever. However they should make that clear. Instead they say the fee is waived if you're diamond which it isn't, only the requirement to pay it is waived.

Ok at PH they didn't have it in the diamond lounge for sure. We couldn't find it and confirmed with the people who worked there. I'm not sure about Caesars. I don't personally need wifi because I have unlimited data but my gf needs it and keeps checking for it. I don't remember her finding anything at the Caesars diamond lounge.

At PH there is free wifi at Planet Dailies. The range is pretty low but works well enough if you're standing in the casino outside the restaurant.

Ceasars im just about 99 percent sure they have wifi in the lounge as they gave me the password for it but never went in and used it
