Want to bet the ponies on this trip to vegas. Love to bet the ponies but other than the preakness & derby, have never bet in a vegas book.

Where could I find a daily racing form on the strip?

    Thank You

I'm pretty sure you can find it at any sports book.

Many sports will give you one for free or give a discount based on your players club or wagers.

Downtown at the Golden Nugget, they give you one if you are staying there.

Gold Coast and Orleans will give you one for a couple of bucks (cheaper than the track price) or with points from your players card. They also have several forms bound against the table in the back of the book if you just want to look at / bet a couple of races.

All race books with have scratch sheets for each track with the horses / trainers listed and Morning Line Odds. Most will also give you harness programs free or for a marginal cost ($0.50 or $1).

They will be happy to help you with any questions. Be sure to ask for drink tickets after you bet (most will give you tickets for $10 or $20 in wagers, IIRC Wynn for $50). LVH and Bellagio do not require drink tickets (sometimes they'll ask for you to flash a wager slip).

LVH (The former Hilton) is by far my favorite race book and sports book.

Wynn, Tropicana and Caesars Palace are my favorite Race Books on the Strip.
LVH, Gold Coast, Red Rock and South Point are my favorite Race Books off strip.
El Cortez and Golden Nugget are my favorite Race Books downtown.

I think Bellagio recently changed, and now you need to present a drink ticket. Perhaps someone will see this and confirm.

We have the same tastes when it comes to sportsbooks. I agree 100% with your assessment of LVH, Golden Nugget, and El Cortez.

Totally agree with the LVH. Love going there for NCAA football. GN has a decent book for downtown as well. Want to try the plaza's book downtown as I have heard some good things about it. On south strip, I prefer the Mandalay Bay book. Spent nearly the entire day there during preakness saturday. Made a couple bets on the preakness & several MLB & NBA playoff bets. Won a nice NBA parlay that day. For 2 bets on the preakness I received comped drinks the entire time I was there, approx 8 hours. Although it's not as nice as the Bellagio & not as big as the LVH, it's still a great book with incredible drink service & friendly cashiers at the windows.

Thanks for all of the replies.

If you don't mind paying then you can set up an acct and download one at drf.com . Looks like single cards are $4.50.

MGM would simply ask if I was staying at the hotel (which I was) and they would give me one for free. One day the lady did ask to see my room key.

Excalibur gave me one two years in a row when I bet there. They gave before I bet and my bets were not big. I also found last year that Chicago Midway airport newsstands sell them. They are kept behind the counter, so you have to ask. Makes the plane ride go by quicker though.
