Love vegas need help

I have been going to Vegas twice a year for 18 years. I do not get much love from the casinos because I am a 5 to 25$ craps and blackjack player. I have stayed at all the center strip casinos. Get a few offers at Harrhas and Ballys. Never anything from MGM spend 2-3k per trip on food, hotel and gambling. How do I let the casinos know that I am a valuable asset to them. PS air fair from Florida 480.00 per person for August trip

 

Reading through posts for a few weeks here will generate a few tips for you. There are some things you can do to get more attention, and some that do not.

In the end, all offers are based on what they figure is your value. They figure that based on your daily average play.

I have never tried to play for comps, but friends always seem to get offers. And we all play about the same. Guess I should always show players card even I am not a rated player

 

I scratch my head and ask the same thing. Actually coming from Florida in a few weeks. Personally I believe slots is the quickest way.

We booked this upcoming trip in December. I decided to go online to see what the price for me would be through TR while she did the same through hers. I play blackjack and let it ride and charge everything to the room while there. I have stayed in Harrah's, PH, Paris over the years plus M Life hotels and she has been with me to Vegas 5 times. Those 3 plus Aria and Monte Carlo. She does primarily penny and nickel slots, quarter slots on a good day. 7/11 to 7/18 for me $385 for her $140. She was comped Thurs, Sun-Wed. I got $49/night on her comped nights, She and I both offered $70/night Fri/Sat.

Now add one of her girlfriends who only spent $100 on slots in October 2012 during our groups last 4 day trip, not a gambler but got her card just in case, got the same deal as my fiancé for this upcoming trip! Makes me wonder.

 

Understandable that you scratch your head on that; I am too. I am not a big gambler, I will average maybe 3-400 tier points per night when I stay at a CET property, on both table games and slots. Some days will be a bit more, some a bit less. But I end up getting a lot of free rooms during the week, along with a few at the lower properties on the weekend.

It sounds like you play/stay at CET properties a lot, and have a Total Rewards card. I've noticed that the "offers" I have listed don't show much, but when I go to the rates calendar, there are a lot of options for free and reduced rooms. It seems like CET does this more than straight out offers.

To do this, log into the sight, click "reservations" up near the top. Then scroll down, and select "rate calendar". You can then look at rates for all the LV properties for a month or two. I bet you can still find some good rates in there.

Yes, i saw that article as i frequent the Las Vegas chatter. I'm a good example of what the casinos (CET) want and reward me by offering comps.
I am a low roller compared to many people in here (Gold). I only play slots, usually .1/.25 cent machines. I maximize my daily bankroll by playing machines that allow me to win/lose for the longest period of time.
As i like to go to Vegas solo, i usually eat off strip. So my RC's are used mainly at coffee shops, just enough to get a coffee with pastry each day.
Some people in here maintain that where you play is where you get the most/better comps. I disagree. Speaking about CET only, i use most of my bankroll at Paris and Planet Hollywood, yet, it's almost impossible for me to get any comped days on those properties. On the other hand, i never play at Caesars, yet i get comped for many weeks during the year. Looking at my TR rate calender (which i only use), i have comped weeks at Caesars (along with the 5 others that i mentioned before) up until June 2014.
Comped rooms, even at the low end, can be upgraded with the $20 trick. The rate calender allows you to see what rooms are comped (Caesars i have Forum rooms), so i know that the $20 upgrade can bring me at least the Palace. I also know that at the Flamingo (where i may stay in April/May 2014), i can be comped with a Fab Deluxe with strip view which i can then use the $20 trick to upgrade to a GO with strip view room. This isn't rocket science, if you are offered a comped room take it.........and then do the upgrade.

If not, how do you expected them to know you are gambling?

Also as a general rule you do get more comps with machines than tables games when compared to the $5 tables. Even though Craps is a $5 table you can get rated much higher if you are actually making multiple $5 bets.

 

My PH host confirmed that at CET properties they really don't care where you play.
Now at MLife properties they do. Although it doesn't get totally ignored, it just doesn't seem to carry much weight.
