From the VMB for a while! I think im going to try and stay away for a week....
I have over 70 days still and its ALL I think about, dream about. My husband already wants this trip to be over, he is so sick of me talking about Vegas! This is going to be tough, its the one website I go to every day, except MyVegas on FB!

hahaha that didn't last long, I forgot I was waiting on a response from a question so I logged in again to see if I had any......
and yes that is true but I feel like time is crawling and if I go on weekly until about a month out, time may seem to go faster!?!

My wife, son, daughter, mother-in-law, employees, various relatives, and people at church forbid me to mention upcoming trips to Vegas until 48 hours before hand? :confused2:

I don't get it either? But I have learned over the years places like VMB are a great places to communicate ones [STRIKE]obsession[/STRIKE] enthusiasm without offending anyone! :woohoo:

Its crazy the obsession we can all have with Vegas...

I do have a few people I work with (at a casino) who like to gamble, so they like to hear me talking about it, especially an older Greek woman who loves to play slots, and has never been to Vegas, she loves my stories, but with 70+ days to go, she will undoubtedly get sick of me talking about all day, 4 days a week!!

So, maybe disregard... I will try and NOT come on every day and read TR's that I have read already but I will lurk a little!!

I knew I couldn't be the only person feeling this way, but it's nice to hear other people admit to it.

I have 24 days until my first trip ever, and I'm so excited. My husband is tired of hearing about it. :rolleyes2:

I've already spent half my gambling allowance on new clothes and other stuff I really don't need. I don't know what to wear, etc. All this excitement and worry for a short 3.5 day trip.

    :peace:

Well... maybe not a break just yet..haha I cannot stay away!!!
I haven't even thought about going shopping yet! Im waiting until at least a month prior to shop for anything. Ill wait it out, usually by end August I can get a lot of clearance Summer stuff here! That's part of the excitement, finding a perfect Vegas outfit...and shoes, and accessories...SO that leads to over-packing, seeing as I know Ill only wear 2 pairs of shoes out there, I need to bring 5 or 6 just in case; and 3 swimsuits when I know Ill only go to the pool one day!

I WISH I could just go to Vegas right now, however, my funds aren't where they need to be at, so I need the 70 days to make that Vegas $$
Side note- its amazing how the ONLY time I put money in my savings is when I go to Vegas...then I get back and its emptied, and don't start up again til we plan another Vegas trip! Priorities, I guess!

And Yes I work at Potawatomi...

Back in my youth (when I was still in my twenties), the absolutely BEST Vegas trips were the ones that were totally spontaneous.
We would literally decide on a Saturday morning to fly out that day.

Of course, back then it was far easier to work with the airlines and get very reasonable RT fares on the day of travel. We would call the Stardust & tell them we were coming in & 99% of time, we would ahve a room at the "player's rate" - which would end up being comped by the time we left.

    Sadly, those days are long-gone.

I have to admit that people tire of me talking about Vegas...and apparently it gets worse when a departure date is set. My wife tolerates my Vegas talk by only half listening...which, if your married, you know is the secret to a good, long and healthy marriage.

I am going Sept 2-9 very close to when you're going.
Iam with you about the feeling of needing a break from this site because it is making the countdown go so slowly. But, I found that if you abandon this site, it will go even slower!!! I found just the right amount of conversation to have with my wife about Vegas, I bring it up about once a week. I want to talk about it all day every day, but I keep it to myself at home and share with all of you here.

I'm retired now, but when I was working, my co-workers would either be enthused about my next trip, or others would just roll their eyes. Joe is going to Vegas-AGAIN!

Hell, I go to the dentist twice a year and when he comes in after the hygienist has done the cleaning, the first question is not any problems with your teeth, it is, "when is your next trip to Vegas?":evillaugh

my wife has forbidden vegas conversation of any kind for about 4 years. luckily i have a vast network of VMB, FB friends, and live friends who never tire of the subject.
