The last couple trips I have posted a bit of a pre-trip itinerary, I like to lay out my plans and thoughts and then see how they differ at the end of the trip. This will be my first "off strip" trip. Me and Mrs. Capt. will be staying at Sunset Station. We decided to slow things down a bit this trip, we love the strip, but no longer are interested in the daily grind of the crowds, over priced everything and poor gambling odds. We are spending the 6th night of the trip at the Luxor, I am still on my quest to stay at every strip property so I want to punch out Luxor.

We will be joined the final four days by my long time LV companion "J", he was supposed to bring his girlfriend, but doesnt look like that is going to happen.

    Here is the plan,

We will arrive Wed, the 19th about 830am. We plan to hang at the pool, then cab it down to the strip in the eve. I will be taking Ms. S. to see her first Cirque show. I have seen Mystere' twice before, but I have not seen the new version released last year. We may follow this with dessert at the Eiffel Tower.

Thursday the 20th, liberal amounts of pool time and day drinking followed by a trip to Hard Rock Hotel in the eve where we will see Tom Green and Steve O perfrom. Really excited about this, never been to the Rock, and big Tom Green fans.

Friday the 21st, "J" will arrive in the morning with or without his GF, we are renting a cabana and planting ourselves poolside. That night "The Spazmatics" are perfroming in the hotel, so we are just going to relax there and enjoy the show. We have seen them at Carnival Court and really enjoyed their performance.

Saturday the 22nd, the highlight of the day we be our Club Crawl we are doing. It starts at the Mirage and bounces around the Venetian, I am most intrigued by the final stop at "Act", the new club at the Venetian. Google Act club Venetian and watch the Youtube video, its a club like no other in LV, and that is hard to say.

Sunday Funday, no plans, enough said.

Monday, checking out and staying on a COMP night courtesy of MyVegas at Luxor. We will be seeing Marshall Sylver and his new hypnotist show at Planet Hollywood that eve. These are COMP tix and a brand new show, so no clue what to expect.

The gambling is like drinking Joe, it just goes without saying!! I am hoping to have very good luck with the VP at Sunset Station. The only gambling I will do on strip is at Planet Hollywood as they have a VP maching that I have only found there and at Palms.

I'd rethink this if I were you. I just got free tickets to this as part of a helicopter ride I booked. I wasn't really interested in the tix but looked up the guy and read the reviews anyway. It sounds seriously horrible and the guy is basically a charlatan whose background is in pitching self-help seminars on how to become rich and crap like that. He's had a bunch of legal issues too. I figured I'd take the tickets just to give away but to book them you needed to provide your real cellphone number to get a text confirm code. No way in hell I was going to give my cellphone number to a guy who pitches "get rich quick" seminars.

Glad to hear you're making a pit-stop at the Hard Rock! Those guys are playing at Vinyl... a cool little (600+ people) venue. Hope you have fun!!! A little tip... the Center Bar gets crazy crowded before shows... consider walking through the casino to the newer side (HRH Tower)... there's a couple bars over there that never seem to get too crowded.

I was going to inquire about the gambling and drinking but it appears you have that covered.:beer::beer:

Nice that you have something special each night. Nice that you have that one night left open just to wing it. So much goes on in Vegas its always good to keep one night opened for heavy drinking and gambling or just in case something really catches your eye.

I loved The Act night club...it is on the smaller side but was a lot of fun. I also contracted the host for the Act (name/info on Jackcolton.com) and requested to be on the guest list and bypass the line and got in no problem.

You might want to check on Marshall Sylver. According to Five Hundy the show has been cancelled.

Marshall Sylver is once again CANCELLED!, I know the first round of his show was cancelled, lots of drama, but supposedly it is starting back up next week. Our tix are COMP thru Planet Hollywood box office, so no loss, sounds a bit sketchy anyways. Oh well, one less pair of jeans to pack, shorts and t-shirt final day! We are going to hit Ellis Island and Carnival Court.

We love them, fun times. We saw them at Carnival Court, and again when they played our local Casino. Glad they are on property and we dont even have to leave to see them!

Years ago the Spazmatics used to tour around, but as demand grew they spawned other "Spazmatics" in varoius locales. If you search there's a Spazmatics Chicago, Spazmatics Florida, etc. The founder and some original members started out in LA, but settled in Vegas, so the Vegas version is the original Spazmatics.

i recommend dinner before the show at the Hard Rock's Pink Taco where you can play video poker at the bar if you wish. Great California-Mexican food and good service. Enjoy, enjoy--sounds like a fun trip with lots of time to relax!
