Wheel Of Fortune Filming Six Weeks of Shows at Venetian in July/August

Not sure if anyone has posted about this and/or cares.

I'll be there the weekend of July 27th so I'm gonna try to get tickets for some of the tapings.

Yes. Every year they have several weeks of shows that are from Vegas. I guess they film them all in a week.

 

Gosh darnit! They start taping the day after I leave. This would have been fun to attend.

Hope my luck is better at the tables than trying to get in to see this!

 

Will miss them by 1 day! Missed them in Hawaii by 1 week. Oh well.

 

My son was a contestant on Wheel about 5 years ago in Hollywood. He was telling us some of what he learned from his experience. One example is that they tape 5 shows in two days. The other item I found very interesting is that the entire studio in Hollywood is wireless and that audience members have to take the batteries out of their cell phones to avoid the possibility of cheating. I wonder how they are going to handle this in Vegas.

 

They've done it around the same time at V/P the last 3 or 4 years at least. I think the shows air a couple weeks later. Outside of a couple of glamour shots of V/P as they're going into and out of commercial breaks, there's really nothing that screams Vegas about it.

Tickets to the tapings are offered as a promo with a couple of slot tourneys. I don't know if you can get them outside of that, maybe there's a way.

They hold auditions around the country from time to time. My son auditioned in New York and was called about a year later and had two weeks to make arrangements to head to Hollywood for his taping.

Just another FYI, my son's show was taped in early November and was broadcast in early January.
