Somewhere at airport for cases of water/pop?

Is there somewhere at the airport (flying in on United from Newark- is this T3?) where we can buy a case of water, 2L of milk, case of pop and a few Gatorade before hopping in the taxi to the hotel?
I know there is lots of CVS/Walgreens etc on Strip but would like to have running around done beforehand if possible. Will not have a car and were hoping to not have to get a taxi such a short distance (to the Walgreens next to MGM) but don't think we could carry all of that stuff back either..

I think it would be cheaper and more convenient to stop off at a store on the way from the airport.

We have done this before. I would run in while the wife waits in the cab.
The cabbie doesn't mind as he/she is getting paid for waiting.

The extra cab fare is nominal and out weighed by the convenience.

This you only carry your luggage to the cab instead of everything.
Then only the water/pop to the cab.
Then at the hotel they will have a cart to help carry it all.

I wouldn't be buying supplies at an airport store: they have such a huge markup that some things they charge as much as 3-4 times what you would normally have to pay for them.

If you are at MGM Grand I would suggest going down to the CVS outside Monte Carlo: they have a very good selection of food and drink you can take back to the room. And if you are worried about how heavy all that stuff will be to lug back to the room then if you have a suitcase on wheels just empty it out in the room and take that along with you and after you buy your goodies just stuff it in the suitcase and wheel it back to the room.

Also, in the original question "2L of milk" was mentioned. Note that most hotel rooms don't come with a refrigerator unless you pay the daily fee (usually $20-30 a night) for one in your room.

Otherwise, a lot of people do what LV_Bound suggested and just have the taxi stop along the way to the hotel so they can stop for supplies - just tell the cabbie that you want to stop somewhere on the way to MGM Grand where you can buy some stuff. The taxi will charge 50 cents per minute that it is outside waiting: not too bad if you are in and out of some smaller convenience store in 5 minutes.

Hmm..not sure we would want to have to stop as we are getting in late (2am our time), but if we decide to, where is somewhere along the route where we could stop that would have all of the above? Also, we have a soft-sided cooler we are going to bring to keep the drinks cold and just fill it up with ice.
Also, we were told of some place just outside the West Wing door..? Would that place have this stuff?

Would this liquor place have non-alcoholic things like we need though? And milk? Or is it more solely liquor?

Apologies, I cannot help with this inquiry. I knew of the hours from the article. Their website isn't up and running just yet, but it seems to list alcohol items only.

The 2AM your time is going to be 10PM in Las Vegas so you won't really have to worry about who is open and who will be closed - its mostly a 24 hour city so almost everything is still open at that hour.

For the "where" I wouldn't worry about being specific with the driver: after the cab leaves the airport it will head to Tropicana and there is a bunch of little convenience stores and liquor stores on the way - just tell the driver you want to stop at one before you get to the hotel.

Since you are getting in so late, by your internal clocks, thats another reason why I'd still be thinking of just going to the CVS store or even one of the Walgreens: get off the plane, get your luggage, go the hotel, check in and up to the room. Come down to the casino and have a little fun and get some free drinks (you want water for the room for next morning? When you order an alcoholic beverage off a waitress just ask her to also bring you a water).

Then when you get up the next morning because your internal clocks are going to be 4 hours ahead of everybody your 8-9AM is going to be 4-5AM local time... the sidewalks are going to be nice and quiet and you can go down, grab some breakfast and then easily head out to one of the nearby stores to buy some supplies for the room and not have to worry about working your way down a crowded/busy sidewalk.

I think you will be able to find most of the stuff at that place. I know they have water, gatorade, cases of beer, snacks and they are priced well. Just cut through the sportsbook and past the west wing bar and there is an exit that will put you in what looks like an ally. If you look straight across there is the back entrance to that store. we used that place to stock up on items before and it is way more convenient than going to walgreens or cvs.

Thanks! We'll probably do this and then pick up a carton of milk somewhere the next day. When you say 'what looks like an ally'..I'm assuming it's still safe at night?

Check out Vonns grocery store. They deliver and your first delivery is free! We got married in Vegas in February and before we flew out, we placed our order online (cases of water, snacks, mixers and a few bottles of Grey Goose) flew in Thursday night and they delivered our order to Mandalay Bay Friday morning. It was awesome!

That's cool! And the hotels are OK with that?

Not a problem at night. Its lit up and there is a bit of traffic that goes through. Plus the store has security at the back door.
