Anyone ever stay at the MGM Signature? We have a room booked there in mid May and just want some opinions on the place. Thanks

Stayed there several times. Love the place. It seems to be a non-party zone (quiet) which my wife and I love. If you prefer to walk a little less ask for tower 1, it is closer to the MGM Grand. Try the one bedroom suite sometime. 950 square feet with an actual door to the bedroom. Jacuzzi tub, two bathrooms, fridge, microwave and a whole lotta room.

Stayed here last September, and after a ton of research, I loved it!! I kept reading on these boards about which tower to stay in and longer walks. I really didn't notice any of that! I stayed in Tower 3, and the walk to the MGM didn't bother me at all. I did take cabs from there all over, so I didn't walk the strip. I felt like a million bucks staying there! As I plan for my next trip I keep looking at the Encore, but I can't see me giving up all that room (I had a 1 bedroom suite), for a room there. I cannot recommend it enough!!

Just to piggyback on what was mentioned earlier, it is quiet. I loved that! My thought was when I want the noise, I will go to the noise! In fact on my last day, my friends arrived at the Flamingo, when I went to greet them, I couldn't believe how gross and loud the place was! So happy about my decision.

looking at booking as well for May, love that it's quiet. What's the resort fee? and what does it include? gym? can you use the pool? on the other side?

Stayed in Tower 1 in a 1 bedroom suite last July and the place is gorgeous. My wfie really enjoyed the private "tower-only" pool more than the MGM pool complex and the main bathroom alone in our suite was bigger than both Vegas rooms.

The suite was beautiful and huge (950 sq ft) with a balcony (admittedly looking over the monorail but I could see the Cosmo and the south strip casinos). The moving walkway takes you to the back of MGM but I love to walk and didn't mind being away from the action but not THAT far away.

I think it is a great value for what you get. My wife HATES Vegas but the one thing she did like very much was the Signature at MGM, so that is saying something.

lurk around for years and finally signed up . this site and the members here are definitely very friendly and helpful. i have a few newbie questions here. i'm heading to vegas in mid oct and already booked signature with some coupon/promotional code from sites like smartervegas. first of all, how did you like your stay, dtmk66? i booked the regular studio but did any of you use the $20 method and upgraded to the one bedroom suite? i didn't see anything over at the $20 trick section. i'm not a High Roller like most of you guys. i used to go there 2-3 times a year but only once a year or even less for the last few times. my betting is somewhere from $15 to $4-500 the most per hand (i'll say $25-50 most of the time) on blackjack and a little baccarat for about 4-6 hrs/day. almost no slot. do you think it's better off for me to book through vrbo and forget about the slim chance of getting at least one night comp (will stay one week)? i have never used a host nor assigned one but did use the vip service once last time when i stayed at thehotel. to be very honest, i didn't see any difference than booking the room myself. she was nice enough to get us a champagne as it was for our anniversary but we don't drink. i brought it back to her along with some gifts and told her give it to some other couple . sorry for all the questions but hope someone can help me solve the mysteries. thanks in advance!

Stayed there April with a double bachelor party. Needless to say, it is a beautiful resort like hotel with much bigger rooms and more amenities than many others. However, it is quite a walk behind the Grand and the strip which can be a bit daunting when fighting a hangover lol.

Overall if you want to spend a good amount of time in the room it is certainly a good bet but if you want to spend less and have better strip access you may want to pick something on the strip instead of behind it.

Welcome to the board!! My best friend LOVES the Signature!! Just know, that most likely you will pay a $25 resort fee, the only thing that annoys her about this resort. I prob wouldn't stay there because of location but I've heard it's really nice

    Have fun.

A few nice things about the Signature:
    1. You can combine two one-bedroom suites into one huge two-bedroom suite since there's a main door outside the two suites.
    2. You can access the Signature pool and MGM Grand's main pool complex but those staying at MGM Grand can only access MGM Grand's pool complex.

i've read from some members stated the walk is fairly long but i'll have a rental car and i use valet most of the time. will it still be a problem? i love how close the valet at thehotel. just right outside the elevator.

to be very honest, i don't really spend much time in the room but i'm spoiled by the other hotels all these years. i stayed at venetian, encore, wynn, thehotel, etc. it's hard to go back if you know what i mean.

thanks for the welcome . i'm ok with the resort fee as most of the hotels are charging this nowadays. but just still unsure should i book it through vrbo instead.

It's a pretty long walk from MGM Grand's parking garage to the Signature. Signature has their own valet parking right in front of the tower, there is no self-parking there.

I have stayed at the Signature 6 or 7 times and will be returning later this year. Yes it is quiet and yes it's a long walk but comfortable walk with people movers for most of it. It's all non-smoking too. What I love most is the people. The entire staff is just great (check-in, concierge, maids etc).

The Signature Lounge is a great place to meet new people as many of them are full-time residents in the condos. The bar tenders are outstanding. The food in the lounge is first rate too. The menu is the same as the in-suite but obviously cheaper. There is also a "Gourmet Delicatessen" called Delights that serves light food, sandwiches and a pretty good breakfast menu. Check out the web site and download the menus for the lounge and Delights.

I've reserved though MGM, Smartervegas, Lasvegassuites.com (FKA as Bluechip), and VRBO. All will work but only if you direct booking via MGM/Signature or Smartervegas will they allow you to upgrade.

    Enjoy your stay.

i'm greedy. i don't even need two bdrms. a upgrade from a studio to one bdrm is good enough. but i doubt that they'll combine two studios for us as an "upgrade", right? i don't even know if they have two studios sitting side by side.
i'm going in mid to late oct. i don't think i need any pool access but thanks for the info.

good to know they only have valet .

thanks for the detail info! i booked directly via mgm and hoping they'll give me an upgrade to a one bdrm suite with the $20 trick. has anyone tried that? in fact, has anyone booked this particular property through vip or a host? thanks again!

Signature is 'right up there' hotel and room niceness-wise. If you've got a car it's really good location-wise to just about everywhere you'd want to go. I stayed there 4 times last year, and every time had a great experience.

Even if you don't have a car, it's a quick walk to the MGM monorail station to get further north on the strip. If you're in tower 3, exit the complex through the gate you enter the complex in, and walk west on Harmon Ave. a few blocks to get to Planet Hollywood.
