Not the best ever, but worth a look for sure... Looks like it doesn't apply to Friday and Sunday. Otherwise, its a pretty solid deal.

thanks much. Had a flight in Oct booked and re-booked saving 7,000 points with a closer airport and cheaper flights on the same days......however it is out on Thursday and back on Tuesday.....but if it fits your schedule......curiously it only showed cheaper flights in Sept. / Oct. / November and part of Dec. thus far. But again, it worked for me. If from Texas check it out! 99$ one way on certain flights....thanks again.

Hmmmm . . . an October trip seems to be within grasp. I was afraid I'd only get two trips in this year. But with this sale, I can do my usual three!

With fares this low, I am thinking I'd pay cash and use my points for a later (and more expensive) time.

I jumped all over this, this morning!!! Booked 10/16-10/19. Rates FINALLY came down to something reasonable. I agree, not the greatest, but much better than what they had been. Out of Milwaukee, I've been looking at 206 ow, got it this am for 129 ow.

127 days!! It will be a full year since we have been there which was killing me since I've gone 2-3 times a year for 20 years!

Not a biggie, saved $21 flying Wednesday, Oct 16 to Monday, the 21st. Same dates as before.

Sometimes these SWA sales are so bogus for us out of Milwaukee. Just too many degenerate gamblers going to Vegas.:wink2:

The departing flight went down and the return flight went up in price from what I booked last month.

Tradition-we have to be in Vegas for our anniversary on Oct 17th!

Great sale for flying in late Wednesday and leaving early Tuesday from AtL. Unfortunately I don't have the September i will be out there Tuesday off (important meeting) so it only becomes $360ish roundtrip rather than the "normal" $400-420. If I could take off Tuesday as well it would be $260 roundtrip which would be amazing. Stupid job. :)

I rebooked a bunch of flights and got back about 5500 points. Used those extra points to extend my Halloween trip from leaving on Sat. 11/2 to Sunday, 11/3! :)

Just booked flights for 10/19 to 10/22. Short trip due to work schedule but I'm still excited.

    I've never flown Southwest before.

    All you degenerates in Milwaukee.

We planned to go Oct 12-15, and in the time between I found out about the sale until the time we tried to book, our Oct 12 flight went from $129 to $206.

We ended up getting Nov 2-5 at our price, but now I've gotta wait three extra weeks.

I did save $54 on our Boston flight in Sept, but our flights to Seattle, Tampa, and Dec Vegas either stayed the same, or went up in price.

EDIT: By changing to a Friday departure to Tampa, the fare went down $94.

I ALWAYS book 2 1-ways instead of a R/T with SWA. There is no advantage to booking R/T but can often get cheaper segments when checking them separately.

This sale did me absolutely no good on my August trip. Inbound was 7k points and outbound was 8k points. Nothing even close to cheaper now. Glad I booked when I did!

Just booked 2 flights out of Louisville...Sept 28-Oct 5. Using points and a gift card, I got the flights for 210.00 all in. Wanted to go Friday to Friday, but Saturday to Saturday was 180.00 cheaper and allowed me to book one flight with points. Happy to be flying out of Louisville. Living in Cincinnati puts Louisville, Indianapolis, Columbus, and Dayton all in play, but Louisville is my preferred airport. All in all a great deal. Mad props to SWA for allowing me to have my cheapest flights in 5 or 6 years.

I just checked fare again this morning. The $256.00 r/t fare that I booked Tuesday morning is now going for $496.00 r/t !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you believe that? I hope this is not a trend for the future.
