Just wondering if there are any good donut spots in Vegas. One of our days we will have a car so it does not have to be limited to the Strip.

I believe westie has waxed poetic about Ronald's Donuts on Spring Mountain Road (Chinatown area).

I recall him mentioning how great the apple fritters are at the place. We haven't tried them yet but it's on our (loooooong) list of things to do when in Vegas.

I haven't had them out there in Fantasyland, but here in this part of the world (northeast/ New England) Dunkin Donuts is very good. Their coffee is very good as well.

Krispy Kreme seems to be the crack-laden donut of the moment. If you can get them hot off the machine, even better.

It's almost here...National Doughnut Day that is...

Friday, June 7 is National Doughnut Day which was established in 1938 by The Salvation Army to raise funds for people in need during the depression. It was intended to honor the women who served doughnuts to troops during WWI.

    Dounts

All the Krispy Kreams around here closed up years ago. It still makes me sad to drive past the vacant building all these years later. We can still get the donuts at the Loaf N Jug up the street, but it's not the same.

Dunkin Donuts. I know they are a chain, but I can't get enough of those things.

They don't have any in California yet, so I get my fix when I am in LV.

Plus, they just introduced a Donut bacon sandwich.

Egg and bacon on a split donut. Wow!

I'm originally from the east coast so I know Dunkin Donuts well.
    Their coffee is sublime.
Though, I prefer their bagels (scrumptious) to their donuts any day. :licklips:

I read one of Westie's trip reports and went to Ronald's based upon his review. It was outstanding! Ronald's is an old school place with formica counters, and coffee in foam cups. It is on Spring Mountain and run by a friendly Asian family (go figure, it's basically in Chinatown). I too have had a fritter as well as other fare, all are very good. If this is what you are looking for it is your place. FYI, it was on my TomTom as a listed place.

Very good reviews on Yelp and tons of pictures:

What stinks about Ronald's is the hours. No late night Donut run.

    Are these accurate?

Yes, Ronald's is quite good. I don't have quite enough of a sweet tooth to get through one of their apple fritters by myself, but split with a friend it's perfect.

Yes, they close early. 4pm most days.

Another Donut place that gets good reviews is Pink Box Donuts. I haven't made it there yet, but plan to go next time I'm in town.

On the west side (Durango and Warm Springs) is Glazier's Market. They have a really good bakery and the donuts (and multiple versions of fritters) are excellent. No offense to the Dunkin' Donuts lovers on here, but these are much, much better than any DD I have had in a very long time.

Haven't tried Ronalds yet, but I will have to next time I'm in LV.

Ronald's is at 4600 Spring Mountain. Dunkin Donuts is a national chain (mostly in the northeast). IIRC there is one inside the Fremont downtown. Just an FYI on DD... they are very popular in the northeast, but they are known for their coffee, rather than their donuts. The donuts aren't bad, but they're nothing special either.

Good call jlstilp about Glaziers. Their donuts/fritters are amazing. They also have the best New York bagels in town (I'm originally from NY but I live here now).
