Hey Gang. Been a while since I've been on here.

We will be doing our annual trip in 10 days, staying at Bally's for the 4th year in a row. I know there have been some changes. Wondering if anyone that has been there recently can update me.

Is the food court downstairs still closed?

I hear they have moved the poker room to the area behind my favorite bar where all of the video poker used to be. Where did they move the video poker?

    Any other things going on?

    Thanks!!!!!!

Also wondering about noise from construction on the Bill's side of the hotel.

As of Sunday the food court was still closed. The video poker is mostly in the area to the right of the keno lounge, which was a slot area before. Also there is some directly opposite where they used to be right beside the bar on other side. Not sure about construction at Ballys, but I was on 9th floor at Flamingo overlooking it in a suite and did not hear it once. Appears they are doing mostly interior work as the main level and north wall have been taken down to the steel beams.

As of about ten minutes ago, the food court is still closed. I was hoping it would be done this week, but still a lot of construction going on from what I can tell when I walk by. It's all still boarded off.

I haven't heard any construction from Bill's, but I'm on the 24th floor of the North Tower facing Paris, so I probably wouldn't catch that anyway here.

Sitting at Bally's pool as I write this, the food court of the downstairs mall, across from sports book is closed, I see no evidence of it opening soon, as like any day.
Of the shops in the mall area, I would say 90% of them are open...there's a Harley Davidson shop, a Las Vegas shop, a Pearl Factory, a misc sundries store, the aqua massage, and a few others.

Spent 8 nights at Ballys 2 weeks ago and one of the workers at one of the shops said the food court would not be open until 3rd week of June at the earliest. The candy shop was also closed going through a renovation.
We were on the 25th floor of the north tower facing Flamingo and although we did not hear any construction from that area there was some jack hammers pounding away early in the morning at the Bills site.
I like to add that catching the shuttle to Orleans and Gold Coast at the sports book Flamingo Road entrance was great.

The only 2 places serving food near the sports book is the New York Pretzel and Japanese sushi place. The sushi place is now next to the spa temporarily.
It is funny the New York pretzel place has hot dogs for $3.75, all one needs to is walk 1,000 feet across Flamingo to The Stage Door :evillaugh for a 1/4 pound hot dog and beer for $2.50.

Or walk a little farther and get a foot long for $1.99 and a cold beer for $1 at Casino Royale.

Brings up the age old question. What's more important, lenth or girth?
