I know several casinos close to strip and downtown have $5 3:2 BJ. I am looking for casinos on the strip that you have personally seen this. Specifically MGM, NYNY, Monte Carlo, Hard Rock, Excalibur, Luxor, Tropicana. $10 games would be alright as well but preferably no continuous shuffle machines. Can anyone verify actually seeing this at any of these casinos in the last few months?

Just as a reference to anyone that may find this helpful, off strip joints I saw with these in January include Palms, Gold Coast, Ellis Island, Terribles, Tuscany.

Thanks in advance to all of your helpful responses!

Just got back today. Played $10 3/2 blackjack with no continuous shuffler at both Monte Carlo and Luxor. Saw $5 blackjack also at Lux, but it was 6/5. Hope this helps.

From time to time, even Bellagio will offer $5 3:2 BJ. They'll bury one table in the back. You'll know because it's the one with 30 people surrounding it.

Otherwise, MC, Excalibur, Luxor are good places to look. Usually during the day/morning.

I agree with the above poster, I played $5 blackjack at Bellagio even on some busy evenings.

I think they consider it as customer acquisition. A chunk of people who play $5 blackjack actually vary their bets wildly throughout the game and at some point they become green chip players. Bellagio and others might be going after them, by getting them in the door and letting the "intimidation from luxury" feeling go away. Note that this was a CSM game though.

I also played $5 blackjack at Mirage, Monte Carlo, Excalibur, Tropicana (no surrender) and these were mostly ASM games.

However, I have never spotted a $5 blackjack game at MGM Grand.

    MGM Grand

I've seen $5 blackjack at MGM Grand numerous times. Look for it in the pit furthest back in the casino, nearest the studio walk, during the day.

$5 3:2 is pretty common at NYNY and MC during the week. $10 3:2 is almost always available at NYNY, MC, and MGM, unless it's a super busy weekend night.

I've not seen a continuous shuffle machine in MC -- they may have a couple, but not many.

it may be $5 3:2, but does the dealer HIT on soft 17, or STAND?

Perhaps I'm now spoiled with the local MD/DC area casinos offering as low as $5 minimums on a shoe 3:2 game where the dealer stands on soft 17. Less and less reasons to play in Vegas.:peace:

Man, you guys are killing me. I remember playing BJ in Reno at the Horseshoe (no relation to Binion's), way into the wee hours. $1 a hand, 3:2, single deck, occasionally hand-shuffled. Sigh....

You are spoiled. You're not finding a $5 game in vegas at 3:2 where the dealer stands on soft 17. You can find it for $25 on the strip.

Good call. I sent Sonya a PM about a month ago about having a BJ only section on VMB. She said it was a possibility. I like your idea about a sticky on Vegas BJ conditions.:peace::beer:

A sticky would be good. I've answered the same question about a dozen times regarding "where to find a good $5 3:2 game on the strip"

I would LOVE a sticky thread about finding different limit 3/2 blackjack on the strip.

Search is great, except when it's completely outdated. If I find JoeShmoe wrote in 2011 about there being 3/2 $5 blackjack at Excalibur, that helps me very little now in 2013.

Add one more vote for a "Current Blackjack Conditions" sticky-thread... just leave it open for strip AND downtown conditions.
