I have not had any luck with that. The best I have been able to do on the strip is $15 @ Bally's (and they do NOT offer a progressive). I really enjoy the Paigow at the Orleans for $5 or $10 (with the progressive).

Thanks - I figured I would check out the "lower end" properties, perhaps Luxor, Excal, the Quad, etc. Also did think of the Flamingo, weas - so we will check there also. Not expecting a lot, but we've never looked, so thought we'd give it a go. We usually play DT, we can always go back there :)

Linda - I've heard the tables at Orleans were $5 recently, I know we can always check there and at Gold Coast. We are staying at Bally's our first night, perhaps if we have a big win on slots or something else early, we can ante up for $15 PGP ;)

    Anybody else have any ideas?

$5 at the margaritaville casino $10 almost everywhere during the day most places will have $10-$15 at night only a few places will be more then $15 at all tables at night. There are always a few places on the strip at $10 no matter the time of day though other then at unusually busy times.

Bellagio pit near noodles will have $10-$15 always other then the most busy times
Excaliber, Luxor, NYNY $10 during the day always $15 on busy nights
    Flamingo $10-15 24-7
    Quad $10 24-7
    Margaritaville $5 daytime $10 max 24-7
    Harrahs, Ballys $10-15 24-7
PH $10-15 occasional mins higher during busy times
MGM $10 daytime $15 at night can be higher during very busy times
Mirage $10 days $10-15 pit near high limit slots 24-7
Aria occasional $10 daytime $15-50 min at night or busy weekends
Caesars $15-25 min never seen it lower

No personal knowledge at tropicana, Venetian, MB, Wynn, Cosmo, MC I play PGP a lot and my friends play low I always Play bigger then them but have never had any issue finding a place to play $10 min to make them happy and this includes Superbowl weekend, first weekend of march madness, nascar weekend ect. many places will have a few tables with $25+ min and then 1-2 tables of low minimums. You should have no problem finding a $10 table if your willing to look around a little.

I would like to hijack this thread following Equalizer's awesome list to ask for some information on PGP rules on the Strip.

Personally like to play PGP with Fortune Bonus and like to play 2 hands. In the Palms that's all cool and I get a card protector if I remember right and just set one hand at a time. It's similar to buying the Dragon hand but I can get a Fortune Bonus bet on it including envy.

Downtown in the GN they refuse to let me play 2 hands, yet still offer me the Dragon hand.

Anyone knows the rules about this at the MGM and LVH?

Don't know about MGM but I play at Mandalay and they never have an issue with 2 hands. Can't see why it would be different at MGM. Typically you have to play the hand with the largest bet first.

Something else to look out for are play tables. I can't think of any short pay tables on the strip but there are several places downtown that pay less for 4OAK and up. Also table aggregate is something to notice. If you're playing $10+ on the bonus you don't want to be at a table that only pays a max of $25,000 if you were to hit the 7 card.

One data point: At Aria they have the Dragon hand, (I haven't found it anywhere else on the strip), and I believe you can play 2 hands as well, (but not the Dragon if playing two hands or banking). You also can prepay the commission, (bet $63 to win 60, bet $105 to win $100, etc). Cosmo MIGHT let you prepay commission, but only in multiples of $100, pit boss dependent, (no Dragon hand there.)

    Fortune Bonus is basically everywhere.

Equalizer (and everyone else) thanks so much for all the good info.

Has anyone had any luck getting rated playing $10 a hand, or should I not even try? It isn't so much for the direct comps, but I don't want to play PGP all day and not even have it register as I was playing. I'm guessing I'd have better luck getting someone to take my card at NYNY, Excal, Luxor and CZR properties?

Glad to here about the Dragon hand at the Aria. I used to play and Bill's/the Barbary Coast and that was always my favorite aspect along with the proximity to the bar about playing there. Does anyone else have any other low limit places they like. I stayed at the MGM last time and ended up playing at Hooters for a few hours on a $10 dollar table.

My wife and I just learned to play PGP a couple of weeks ago. We were wondering around downtown and went in to the ElCo. There was a dealer standing there all by himself, he taught us the game, and was extremely friendly. If anyone goes there, his name is Neil. He deals most everything. Anyway, we ended up playing a few hours each of the next couple of days and we ended up having more than enough on our cards to both eat for free at the cafe. It was always $5, and we also played the $1 bonus. I don't think they had the dragon hand though. We were staying at the Orleans and it was $10 I think...I had just started playing one night late and they closed my table.

edit: I know the OP asked about on the strip, but someone else asked about favorite low limit places....El Cortez it is for us!

warpdrvr - the first time my hubby and I played PGP was at the El Co as well. Now we primarily play at the D downtown - but since their comp structure has changed since becoming the D, we are looking for alternates as well.

Neemtree - definitely DT - there are $5/$10 dollar tables at the El Co, the D, and Binion's that I know of. Orleans and Gold Coast both have low limit tables, and one of the two should always have a $5 table - it used to be Gold Coast, but I have heard that they are at Orleans as of earlier this year. South Point also has $5 tables, but for some reason, we can't ever win there. I have heard that there are also $5 at the M Resort, but can't confirm.

I really don't mind my thread being hijacked at all - glad to get lots of good PGP information, and share some also :)

    Thanks for all the info.

So Downtown on Freemont I would expect you to find several 5$ tables. Even the Golden Nugget I think is sometimes that low.

Having said that on PGP 5$ is really low as the game is much less volatile than Black Jack and much slower. In most hands you will push. So even if you sit down with 50$ you can often play for hours with 10$ bets, unless you have a few unlucky hands in a row.

As for comps, its pretty hard to get anything. Some say the drinks you get while playing are pretty much the comp. My host at the GN told me a few times 'how bad' it is for my comps to play PGP (this at one to three blacks per deal), which feels so wrong.
