Hotel 32 is alright. I've stayed there once in what was referred to as a "suite" - but the suites are basically the same as an executive suite elsewhere in the hotel, just with nicer finishes. You want to shoot for a "loft", as these are actually somewhat nice as far as I know.

The best benefit of Hotel 32 is access to the concierge on that floor. They provide excellent service. Truly excellent. The second best benefit, according to my girlfriend, was the shower. I was surprised, seeing as how the "suites" do not have steam showers, but just a decent one with multiple jets, but she liked it. meh

The worst part of Hotel 32 is: you're still in the Monte Carlo. I personally didn't want to spend any time there. You have to take the same rickety elevators as everyone else.

Summary: It's not really a luxury boutique hotel - it's a nice/redone floor in a mediocre/okay hotel. Perfectly fine, so long as you don't have unrealistic expectations for what it is.

Although I love gambling at Monte Carlo, parts of that place smells like turds lol. I would go with options outside of Hotel 32 personally.

I’ve stayed in a Loft a few times. The suite was fantastic. Huge…buncha cool tech…sweet bathroom…flatscreens on what seemed like every wall. And it was nice having the concierge (or “suite assistant” as they call them) right there. Also, the lounge was convenient for grabbing a few waters or Cokes to take back to the room or have a small breakfast (usually just some pastries) or mid-afternoon snack (they usually had a few different hot hors d’oeuvres and some other finger foods like olives, nuts, veggies etc.).

But, once you left the 32nd floor, you were in Monte Carlo. Not that there’s anything wrong with that – I like MC. But it did feel kinda odd coming down from a top notch suite with very personalized service into a middle-of-the-road mega-casino. And having to use my room key in the elevator in order to access the 32nd floor brought some attention I’m not used to. Especially since every time I stayed there 50% or more of the elevators were out of order so the elevator was always packed.

I’d say if you’re a fan of Monte Carlo and the price is right, give it a try. Especially if you’re a gambler and have a host – I was very surprised how easy it was for me to get a comp’d Loft. But, if you’re used to Wynn/Bellagio/Four Seasons/MO etc, you might not care for the fact that the luxury/service ends when you get off the elevator.

I've stayed at the Monte Carlo a few times and I like the casino. The staff are great and the games are solid, plus they have low limits ($50-$100) in the high limit room with super rules. With that said, Hotel 32 was kind of odd. It's like this one section that's really nice inside a mid tier property. The Hotel 32 room is okay, but nothing special compared to other high end properties.

Having the lounge was nice, for waters, sodas, and snacks. I didn't get much use from the Concierge, and they are right there at the top of the elevator so it gave me the creepy feeling that someone was watching me coming and going.

I'd go again if I got it comped, but I wouldn't pay it out of my own pocket...you can get way better for that kind of money.

Personally I think the best Las Vegas hotel secret is the complementary Town Car to the airport at El Cortez. The price you save on a cab can be as much as you spent on the room!

Trump is mine! Huge suites, best rates, excellent service.

Meh on Hotel 32, like said above, you are still in boring Monte Carlo.

LOL...still!? I haven't been to Vegas since last April but I noticed then it STILL smelled like a pile of poop was left behind near the strip entrance. I first noticed this around Christmas '09 and it's presence is noted on every trip since. I don't get it, surely they would be doing whatever possible to de-poop the place! :vomit:

+1 more. I really don't know how people don't notice the awful smell. It was still there last month.

The poop is coming from Diego's Cantina......on the menu you can get poop burrito's. I haven't had one but i heard they taste like....(fill in blank).

That place is truly a sh!t whole... The servers are extremely rude and the service is beyond slow. In addition the food tastes like complete crap...

Poop? Were you going to say poop? :evillaugh

They must be trying hard to hide that smell these days, because every time I went in there, it smelled overwhelmingly like cheap soap. As the saying goes though, you can't polish a turd :rolleyes2: In all honesty though, I do find the Monte Carlo a rather lovable turd, and there are definitely worse places on the Strip. The staff and casino are nice, the rooms do their job well enough, and it always gets an A for effort in my book.

Anyway, I have to agree with the majority in this thread. Given the prices of Hotel32, I'd much rather get a decent room somewhere else. Going from a top floor establishment down to the bottom floor that is Monte Carlo would be a journey both literal and metaphorical that would throw me off for a bit.

I've walked through Monte Carlo a handful of times in my six trips to Vegas and never got the impression that anything in the place couldn't be had for the same or similar money at another Strip hotel with a better, more exciting vibe. Hotel32 might be a cool idea, but coming down from the room every morning would depress me, and that's not the feeling I wanna kick off the day with when I'm in Vegas. Just my opinion, of course.
