As of about an hour ago, MyVegas has taken away the ability to increase your reward amount by buying chip packages. If you had already bought a package and your rewards were bumped up to 4/30-6/30/-10/30 and you had already purchased your rewards, you were grandfathered in but only for one time. If you had the bump but still did not purchase the extra rewards, you are out of luck and have been bumped back down.

Im pissed. after buying a chip package and being bumped up to 4/30, ive saved lps to purchase my final reward, Tender. Now, it was all for nothing. i have over 100,000lps and i cant do a damm thing with them.

This is not the first, second, or third time that MyVegas has severely limited rewards without notice. im happy that between my husband and i we have some really nice things to enhance our trip coming up. Im just irritated as all hell i spent money, granted only 5$, and my time to get something that was taken away without any warning. this is a pretty poor business decision in my opinion. I guess they werent really thinking longevity when they started this game. I am done playing.

This is true for me, this happened today (as yesterday it still said 4 in a 30 day period). I've been told by someone else that 4 PM PST there'll be "exciting" news to the rewards (yeah we all know that "exciting" in their words is bad) but wait until then to see what the actual change is ...

    Use them next time.

I'm sure this isn't the beginning of the end, guaranteed they will have more members and more paying members next month than they have ever had before... and the month after that... and the month after that... and the month after that...

im not sure how long you have been playing so i dont want to assume anything. but if you have been around then you have noticed the value of lps have decreased steadily. a month ago 100,000lps bought me two nights in a suite at Mandalay Bay. Today it will get me one night at Luxor or NYNY, but a night of their choice. In my opinion, by the time i take my next vacation in November, 100k may buy me a crepe at Jean Phillipee Patisseri.

And if they keep up this pattern of changing the rules, we will probably only be able to redeem one reward per calender year.

I find it amusing that people spend so much time and money on this game and then get so mad when the rules get changed on them.

Here's a tip: don't spend ANY money on a silly Facebook game.

I have spent a dime and I've accrued over 285,000 lps.

    I'm not crying.

So we're upset that they changed the rules on something that's essentially them giving stuff away. Yeah, I'm sure they're worried about losing the business.

I am going again on august 17. I had bought the $5 package just to get 1 more reward and was going to purchase my rewards this weekend so that I would have all week to use them when I got there. Oh well, I will still get 3 free meals out of it and am only out 5 bucks. It sucks for the people that spent a lot of money to get extra rewards.

I saw someone on one of the FB pages say that they had spent $250 just last week on the game. That gives a whole new meaning on the term "chasing comps"

i think paying $5 dollars to get a 150$ reward really isnt that crazy. its actually good strategy. but i guess in reality it was only $5. i spend more then that on my starbucks. but i think what is really pissing me off, and im assuming pissing everyone else off, is the total lack of communication from MyVegas. Granted, in their TOS they do state they can change anything about the game whenever they feel like it. They just keep doing this over and over. The company has just become very dodgey in my opinion and after today i will no longer be playing their game.

If you play strategically you don't really need to ever buy chips. I have noticed a trend though of as number of people increase in playing this game, the weaker the rewards have been. I've played the game since August of last year and I have noticed that there used to be a lot of great rewards in the past -- 1 or 2 Night Rooms, Steakhouses like Brand and THESteakhouse at Circus Circus, simple F&B Credits like $50 and $75 values, activities like High Tea and Cirque tickets, and of course souvenirs like Cards and Dice.

Now most of the rewards have been degraded either by reducing the number of people you can get in a reward, number of days you can get comped, or increasing the price. There are a few rewards that have been here and stayed the same since the beginning -- like all of the alcoholic drinks, Admit 2 to Roller Coaster, Nightclubs, Chuck Jones, Adventuredome, Rock & Rita's, Moorea Beach, Brad Garrett's Comedy Club, Fuel The Duel, Fountain Songs, Caviar & Vodka Tasting, O Tickets, Steakhouses, Day Bed, and VIP Bottle Service -- but many of them almost never sell out. If they truly want to get rid of the items that people don't like, get rid of those alcoholic drinks, cause most people don't buy them. Besides that fact, how many times do you need to get wasted in one trip at Vegas?

It is their game and they can do whatever they want with it -- but there's really no incentive to come into the game now, just try your best to get as much as possible and if there's LPs on the table then I'd say leave them on the table. I have really big problems of my own especially with this new reward system and a ton of LPs.

myVegas needs to give us prior notice about these changes

myVegas needs to notify players in advance before they make these changes. They don't post this type of information on their fan page and I don't see it in their Rewards FAQ.

This^. That has always been my problem with Playstudios and MyVegas... everything is so backdoored.

They have something about this problem now as of today at 10:28 => http://support.myvegas.com/entries/23852273-How-many-myVEGAS-rewards-can-I-redeem

Far as I can tell nothing was ever mentioned on their end about getting more than 3 rewards so they didn't make any changes to their T&Cs, they just started enforcing their own rules. Reminds me of people getting mad at me for telling them not to bend their cards on a double deck game because the previous dealer didn't say anything or for paying 35-1 on a straight up roulette hit when the clueless new guy before me was paying 36... or the evil eye I would get for offering two comps for the Victorian Room to a party of four $10 players.

Still getting something for nothing so why complain? People on Facebook ranting about only being able to redeem 3 or 4 and having 500K that they can't spend... what an awful problem to have. Simple answer would be to plan another trip ;)

While changing the rules of the game does stink, I think what is pissing people off is that they do it with next to nothing of notice. If they gave people a months notice, I don't think it would be that big a deal.

I joined Easter Sunday night, and have over 215,000 LP's. That would have been enough for some sweet rewards just a month ago. Now? Not so much.

I can't help but wonder who runs their PR dept? Maybe it is the same person that ran Ven/Pal when they decided to cut their comps to 90% of their customers. LOL

Why should their PR department care? They are giving stuff away for free.

Haven't they been hinting that they were not going to continue extra rewards for chip purchases for a while? And considering that they only created this extra rewards for purchases thing as a sop for people complaining when they changed policy last time, I don't get why people made the same mistake of buying chips with them.

Who gets the $250? MGM? Facebook? Is it split?

The 2012 Harrah's free online game ran out of certain prizes pretty quickly, but people weren't required to spend a lot of time, and you didn't have to purchase "chips" for their prizes.

I won a trip to AC, $200 in total rewards comps and a gift card for a few hours of sign ins. Also made $750 in TR comps by visiting a few casinos (2 during the AC trip, 3 on a road trip and 3 in Nevada) during their road to rewards promo.

Sounds like MILFe would get a better response offering rooms and other comps during low demand periods which do not cost them much / anything. Unsold rooms, cabanas, show tickets, buffets.

My question is how do they know you were grandfathered in. I got the 4 in 30 and have redeemed for 4 rewards but nowhere in the redemption email does it mention the 4 in 30 as a matter of fact they just say 3 in 30. I guess you just have to redeem the 3 best rewards first and hope they allow the 4th.
