Beach Side Casino at Mandalay Bay - info please

Do you have to be a guest of that property to play at the Beach Side casino?

If 'no' can you access the pool from the Beach Side casino - can you play there for a bit and then get into the pool?

 

You don't have to be a guest -- there are signs up at every entrance stating that the casino is open to the public. That being said, it's conceivable that if you showed up in swim trunks, they might notice if you just played for a little and then tried to head down to the pool. Not saying it can't work, but I wouldn't use this as a means of trying to backdoor yourself into the pool area (plus, IMO, it's kind of unfair to the people who are actually paying to stay at the property).

I think if your alone you have a much better chance. Big groups tend to get noticed more.

It's just me and my brother. If we find that we are going that way we will surely try it.

 

Me and my friends used to do this at Red Rock Resort all the time. We would tell the security guard at the gate that we were going to play the tables by the pool, he would give us a wristband that we would take off 2 seconds later and throw it in the garbage can 5 feet from where he was standing, then we would sit at the BJ table and play a few hands and get drinks and then lounge by the pool for hours.

No one ever came up and said anything, we were never turned away, and we had on our bathing suits and a backpack with all our other stuff in it.

I have never tried it at MB since I can just walk right in with my players card but by law I dont see how they can stop you from going in to the beachside casino.

My thinking is that they probably have a security guard posted when you leave the beachside casino and try to enter the pool area and if you dont have a key they probably tell you that you can either stay in the beachside casino or you have to leave the complex.

I had looked into this once (maybe on this board). I believe that the casinos with poolside gambling are required to provide free access to the games by law.

I have used this loophole to get into the Hard Rock Pool (when I was much younger) and to Caesers Pool more recently.

I suppose they could kick you out if they find you just hanging out in the pool area, but if you sit there and game for a little while, then head into the pool area, I doubt anyone would notice.
