The bad news, my annual Labor Day week trip to LV has been de-railed!! My GF texts me the other day and says, dont ask a bunch of questions, but can we fit in an August vac. I of course ask questions, she reminds me no, questions, says she is paying and just needs a yes or no answer. I of course say, if you are paying, the answer is YES!!!

I kinda figure its a Jamaica trip, I know she loves it there and she knows I only have eyes for LV. Well long story short, the trip gets booked August 31, the exact day we planned to leave for LV!!

I didn't freak too badly, we are going for six days next month, and I asked her if we could just push the Labor Day LV trip to March and be in LV when we both hit the big 4-0! So I guess it works out, I get a free Jamaica vac, she says it will be awesome, staying at Couples Swept Away in Negril.

That sounds really cool. Do they have full pay VP and 3-2 BJ?

Sounds like a great deal, but I didn't think Jamaica had casinos. Do they?

We spent our honeymoon (and one vacation since) at Couples Negril - amazing! Swept Away is on the main 7mile beach (Couples Negril is in a more secluded bay, though now it's more developed:eek:) I ADORE the Couples brand - really nice resort! I have sent many family & friends there and all have had a great time. I'm trying to plan a trip to their new resort in Barbados but my husband isn't a huge fan of the Caribbean resort vacation. Doesn't help that my birthday trip this year is a Caribbean sailboat charter. It'll be another 5 years before I can get him back to the Caribbean. (and oddly, I am NOT a beach person - no clue why I love Couples so much. Sometimes you just need sun & a frozen drink, I guess)

    Have a GREAT time!!!:drunk:

I am not a beach person either, and I cannot imagine a vacation without Casino action. My GF is scared I am not going to like it, I think this is largely why she picked up the tab. I really hate to miss my annual Labor Day Vegas trip, but I guess this is that compromise thing folks talk about.

Oh. After posting, I Googled "Jamaica casinos" and was surprised at all the listings! Evidently, casino style gambling became legal the first of this year, although I haven't spent that much time researching it yet. (This may come as a shock, but not everything you see on the Internet is true – believe it or not!) What do I care, I'll win that half billion jackpot tomorrow! :D
