So often I get e-mails that have this or that offer. And even-though I already have my accommodations booked, I like to look...just in case.

Just got an e-mail from NYNY and on the Saturday of Memorial weekend the room is pricing out at $390 - YIKES!!

Any 3 day weekend that the folks from California can drive in, usually drives up prices. Hell, even Columbus Day weekend.

Mem day weekend is just after SB and NYE in terms of busyness. one of the worst weekends you could pick if you don't like crowds and high prices.

Well I'm booked in at Bally's from Thur-Mon at $200 total - so that's ok.

The challenge might be finding lower table minimums.

But 3 card poker can be found at most places for $5 (translates into $10 as I don't play pairs plus), slots are always the same denomination, craps and BJ are going to be the hardest to find at a $5 level..but I think they will be offered at places like the Quad, CC, Riviera, Hooters ets. Might have to play at Ellis Island a bit...how's there casino?

This is exactly the reason why we are going in July instead of over Memorial Day weekend. Even with TR reduced rates, it was too pricey. Of course July will be hotter, but oh well. All the more reason to sit at the bar, in the AC, playing VP.

Is this in order of busyness?? SB is the most busy, then NYE, then Memorial day weekend?

I went for NYE once and I dont think it could be any more crowded...

no, NYE is always busiest. SB is a close second and very close if it falls close to CNY.
