    Hey all,

I will be at Bally's from Thur-Sunday of Memorial Weekend. Does Bally's offer $5 craps? - I ask about them because I want to play the fire bet.

$5 is sometimes available during the day. $10 is the norm. You are going over a busy weekend so $5 is obviously much less likely.

Yah, the long weekend is going to drive up minimums.

I woudl play at other places - Casino Royale, NYNY, Excal and other places where $5 is likely offered (even in the evening) but I really do want to try the fire bet.

Maybe I 'll have to play some morning or afternoon craps.

What about the Quad, do they offer that bet? I just assume that they will have lower table limits - maybe that is a wrong assumption.

I see $5 during the day there all the time and sometimes early evenings. But you will not see it anytime on Memorial Day weekend I suspect. That is a crazy busy weekend.

The Quad has $5 tables all the time (at least one) and they do offer the fire bet.

    Thanks!

Do we think they will offer it on the Memorial Weekend?

Quad is the best place for $5.00 tables.

    Hi Donny,

Ya I am pretty sure they will have them on Thursday, maybe even early Friday but then they will likely disappear for the weekend.

    yes, always (sorta)

I was there last week and they have electronic craps... I can't remember if it was $3 or $5 minimum, but it was one of those.

This isn't the real table game with the tub and 3 dealers, though... no tub, no dealers... just a big-ass machine with a bunch of stools and an electronic console, and to "roll" the dice, you push a button which shakes a couple big fluffy dice in a fishbowl...

Anyway, I played it towards the end of the night and had fun doing so. Came out slightly ahead.

If you're interested, it's located in the back of the casino, near where the lounge is (and sort of near the walkway to Paris).

If you're not interested and think this is a pale imitation of the real game, then that's a valid opinion, too.

    Hope this helps.

Ballys usually has $5 tables but these tables are usually always crowded.

You can walk a bit down the strip and most places there (Quad, Harrash...) have $5 tables or you can walk through the shops that connect Ballys with Paris and check their tables. Last trip Paris had the same table limits as Ballys but with plenty of available spaces.

The electronic craps game is in the back of the casino, and most of the seats are usually full. Minimum $3.

Is this the rapid craps where you still throw the dice or the bubble craps?

If I don't get much of a response I might start a new thread, but I will try to re-direct this one first.

Going to be in Vegas (on the strip) from Thur May 23-Monday May 27 (plane leaves at 7:00am so Monday is a write off).

I don't want the bubble craps game, but would play regular craps or rapid craps (which is the variation where you place your bets on a computer screen in front of you but you are still at a craps table and still throw the dice).

Going to be looking for some $5 craps - some at CET so that I can play the fire bet and some $5 tables anywhere on the strip (don't care about affiliation).

Looking for these minimums during the evening.

I understand that the Quad may be my best chance to find $5 tables on the Friday - Sunday, with a CET affiliation.

Is the general consensus that Bally's and Harrah's will not offer $5 tables that weekend in the evening?

If not CET what are some other places that would offer $5 craps on Memorial Day Weekend in the evenings?

Casino Royale?, Circus Circus?, Riviera?, NYNY?, Excal?

Excal might hang out at $5 even on the weekend night. I'd say NYNY will definitely go to $10 at night, at a minimum.

Donny, thanks for starting this because I'll be in the same boat looking for $5 mins. I'll play the $10 tables but the bank roll doesn't seem to last as long. I haven't played on the Strip at night for a couple of years as I was a Harrah's\Flamingo\IP guy back then.

I got a 2 night freebie with $50 food at Orleans but their evening mins were $10 and $25 last time I stayed there. I bop over to The California for Sunday and Monday nights to round a out a four day trip.

Friday and Saturday I plan on taking the Orleans shuttle or the 201 to Excalibur. They had $5 mins when I played there in March. It was daytime so I don't know what the mins are at night. If they go up then I'll walk or take the SDX\Duece to The Quad, my favorite Strip place for Craps. I'll probably wind up there anyway. I think I saw a Rapid Craps table at The Quad. It wasn't staffed when I walked by around noon.

Another place to try for $5 craps is hooters. It's an easy walk from Excal.

If it's not good there, you could stop in the trop and check their tables before continuing to Excal since you have to go right by it. I've seen the Trop at $5 sometimes too.
